Lungmen Square, 06:15 PM
After decades, Lungmen holds a special event to celebrate their new Chief Executive. The Lungmen Square is filled with many stalls selling various items, such as street food, beverages and even merchandise. The place is fully crowded from morning to night with locals and visitors from all around Terra.
The atmosphere is still lively even if the sky is already dark. The lights and lantern lights up the square, even looking livelier than it was at day time with some of the crowd coming back again for the night view. Though, three people stand out among the crowd.
"U-uhh... Aunty.. I think I'm good with the dumplings" Ren said while carrying two baskets full of dumplings
"You're a growing boy, you need to eat more" the woman said
The woman is none other than his pink haired aunt, Lin Yuhsia, making him eat all the food in the festival. While standing right behind them is his mother.
"M-maa..." He looked at his mother with a face that says Help me
"What's the matter? Didn't you want to try the food?" Chen said teasingly
"I-I didn't mean 20 dumplings"
"Ren-kun, food makes you strong" Lin said
"Didn't you say you wanted to be a hero like your mom? What kind of hero is weak?" She adds
"W-well..."
"In any case, you don't eat much. Tell me, who is taller between you and your tomboy friend?" Lin asks
"Huh?" He tilts his head
"I'm talking about Zhu-chan. Last week I saw you two training together, and one of you is definitely looking slightly up" Lin teases.
"Y-yeah, she's a bit taller than me. So what?"
"Hmm~ So you're okay with her outgrowing you?" Lin continue to tease
"I'll grow soon, it'll happen!"
Both Lin and Chen giggled at his reaction.
"Though, seeing her does remind me of you when you were little" Lin looks at Chen
"Me?" Chen says
"Yeah, the tomboyish act and the seriousness. And also the fact that she sees you as her role model" Lin says
"Yeah... I was like that..." Chen says, being a little embarrassed
"Speaking of her, why didn't you invite her to come here?" Lin asks Ren
"She said she was busy preparing for her entrance exam for the Victorian Royal Guard School" Ren says
"Oh? So she's leaving Lungmen?" Lin asks
"Yeah" Ren replies
"Hmm, I see. So she's going to a prestigious school and leaving her friend behind, I've seen this before..." Lin looks at Chen.
"Well, not really. I also want to go there"
"Oh? You're going there too?" Lin cocked her head
"Yeah"
"As far as I've seen, you haven't done any preparation" Chen says
"I'll get around to it... eventually..."
"You're confident you'll pass with less preparation?" Chen asks
"It might be hard..." Ren says
"Hm, so you think you would fail?" Lin asks
