My name is Thaleia, daughter of Antinous, the most arrogant of the suitors who once sought to steal the throne of Ithaca from Odysseus. I was just a girl when my father conspired to take Penelope's hand and force her to forget her long-lost husband. The halls of my childhood were filled with drunken laughter, mockery, and the smell of overindulgence. But that was before Odysseus returned. Before he slaughtered the suitors.
I was left without a father, and though many believed his death was justified, I couldn't help but mourn. My heart was a battlefield of conflicting loyalties. The people whispered about the return of the rightful king, yet I knew my father only as the man who raised me. Despite his flaws, he was my blood.
It was in this bitter confusion that I first saw Telemachus. Though he was the son of the man who killed my father, he treated me with a surprising gentleness. Little did I know, this unexpected kindness would one day tie me to him in ways I couldn't yet fathom.
