A/N:
the story is set at the last chapter of the manga. (the final time leap)

They're in High school now. In this fanfiction they didn't travel back as children but when they were teenagers.

And most arc's still happened.

Short explanation for how I imagine the final timeline to be:

Alkane is still dead.
(Akane's only impact in the story was her death. So it'll stay this way.)

Shinichiro is alive.
(He was in a coma. Meaning kazutora still got in jail and the valhalla arc happened, but not AS bad. Bc shinichiro was alive. Also he's long awake already from the coma, he still goes to therapy and check up's though.)

Baji is alive.
(He didn't get stabbed in the valhalla arc bc I said so.)

Kisaki is dead.
(He got run over by a truck.)

Emma is alive.
(Bc shinichiro was there to help izana. They're a happy family now.)

I think that covers it.

If you have any questions pls lmk.

I hope you enjoy my story!

Takemichi propped his elbows on the railing, squinting against the blinding sun. He raised a hand to his forehead to block it out. As he gazed over the city, a thousand thoughts raced through his mind. He wondered if his brain even had the capacity to hold them all.

"Overthinking again?" That familiar voice. From the only person who truly knows. The only one he could share these overwhelming thoughts with. The only one who could confirm that what happened was real.

Takemichi glanced over at Mikey, who was munching on his dorayaki. Mikey leaned against the railing, as though his body was too heavy to hold up.

"Yeah... can't help it."

They stood in silence as a soft breeze brushed through their hair.

"It's not in your hands anymore, Takemitchy. You can just... live. So stop dwelling in the past."

Mikey's words were muffled by the pastries, making Takemichi wonder if he heard correctly.

A sigh escaped Takemichi. He wished his mind would just give him a break, that he could move on. He wished it were that easy-to simply live in the moment. But the past haunted him everywhere he went, making it impossible to enjoy the present. Despite Mikey's encouraging words, Takemichi knew he struggled just the same. They wouldn't have all these late-night talks-that weren't technically late at night-if they didn't both need to let out the torturous thoughts and memories that weighed on them.

Their biggest distraction was Toman. Now that Takemichi was the acting leader, he appreciated Mikey's role more than ever. As badass as the title sounded, it was harder work than he'd expected-especially now, with their goal to conquer Japan, a goal set years ago.

Toman grew bigger daily. New members, new fights won. It had reached a point where gangs rarely dared to challenge Toman. The name itself made some shudder in fear, some admire, and for others, it was home.

But despite being a delinquent and living life as a gang member, high school was still an important part of their lives-or at least some of their lives. Takemichi wondered if Mikey ever even went to school, given the number of excuses he came up with for skipping.

Takemichi sat at his desk as the teacher handed back last week's exam. It was biology. A subject he despised, due to being horrible at it, and his grade confirmed it-a big red "D" stared back at him. He let his head fall onto the desk with a groan.
