THE ROYAL FLAME

CHAPTER 3

The Dragonflame Trials was about to start in a few days all the participants were supposed to come a week prior .Prince Eric, prince Robin and princess Claire were there they all were given a tent each to spend the rest of the week in they were rivals but Claire being the sweetheart she was. She saw Eric sitting alone and decided to talk to him. She went near him and said "Hey I am Claire nice to meet you...?" to which Eric replied "Hello wow it's great to see a girl in The Dragonflame Trials. I must say I am amazed" Claire replied" Well I am here to take one of the dragons back home" Eric asked" Wait what kingdom are you from?" she politely said "I am princess Claire from The Crescent" Eric was surprised to hear this "What you are from The Crescent we must not talk you belong to the family of traitors" he scoffed and left. Claire thought to herself "He was very rude who does he think he is how dare he call my family traitors. I must show him my power" furiously Claire thought.

Later at evening Claire was hungry and it was already time for lunch so she went to the dining area she took her food and was searching for her seat in the big hall she finally found it happily and was going to take the seat when she saw the guy next to her seat on her left it was none other than Eric she sighed and took her seat and said "Gosh why did i have to get this seat" purposefully making sure Eric listens to it. Eric who was ready to argue remembered he was being observed and he have to be in his best behaviour and moreover if he wanted to win he had to control his frustration and aggression he simply ignored her. On Claire's right seat was Robin sitting he turned to see who is sitting next to him and saw Claire not gonna lie he felt very different looking at her suddenly a flush of red shade was seen on his face he knew she was his rival but yet he wanted to talk to her he felt like he knows her forever gathering all his courage finally Robin spoke "Hello miss I am Robin nice to meet you" Claire turned to her right listing to Robin introducing himself she gave his a smile and introduced herself "Hii I am Claire nice to meet you too" Robin then said "It's rare to see a pretty women like you at The Dragonflame Trials perhaps are you a princess" he surely knew who she was but his heart decided to play dumb and get more topics so they could talk a bit more. She replied "Yes, I am the princess of The Crescent" Robin replied "Pleasure meeting you princess i am the prince of The Rowan" she said "Pleasure is all mine Robin" hearing his name from her mouth brought butterflies in him.

Eric who has been sitting and listing to all these said "You fools are gonna be the next reason for a new war between The Crescent and The Rowan" Robin who was very furious by Eric's intruptions somewhere knew that he was right somewhere but he didn't wanted to be seen weak infront of Claire bravely said "Why do this stupid people of The Ember have to interfere in everything" Eric got angry when Robin called the people of The Ember as stupid "Say it again and i will make sure you don't speak anymore with that tongue of yours" Robin aggressively held Eric's shirts collar so did Eric. The organisation saw this and gave both Eric and Robin their first warning to behave or else they will be removed from The Dragonflame Trials. They apologised in front of the organisation but things didn't end there for sure both furiously went to their tents.
