Avishi’s POV~
I was sprawled on my bed, cozy and relaxed, binge-watching my new favorite web series, Cobra Kai.
Seriously, if you haven’t watched it yet, you’re missing out....totally addictive! But, as much as I loved the show, my brain was pulling a classic Avishi move.
Right in the middle of an intense scene, my mind drifted to him. Yeah, you know who I mean....Kartik Rawat. Out of nowhere, he just waltzed into my thoughts like some uninvited guest.
And then it happened the butterflies. Oh, you know what I’m talking about—the kind that randomly decide to have a dance party in your stomach?
Ugh.
This was happening way too often. Just thinking about Kartik sent a rush of excitement through me. I’d been lowkey stalking him
(in the most innocent, non-creepy way, okay?)for a while now, but honestly, what had it gotten me? All I knew about him was that he liked anime and Hollywood movies...specifically the scientific ones.
Not that those weren’t great starting points. But let’s face it
I needed more intel if I was ever going to make any kind of move. But how? I stared blankly at my laptop screen. Cobra Kai was still paused, mid-fight scene, but my mind was far from martial arts.
Alright, Avishi, think. How can I get more info on Kartik without seeming like a total stalker?
Hmmmmmmmmmm...
And then, like a bolt of genius lightning, it hit me.
Duh, Naira! My older sister was literally in the same class as Kartik. How had I not thought of this sooner? I should totally ask her!
But, of course, in true Avishi fashion, I completely forgot about this brilliant plan as soon as I unpaused Cobra Kai and got sucked back into the karate drama.

Naira's pov~
It had been an average day at school,it's just...more school, and walking back home with Avishi.
Typical stuff. But suddenly, she looked at me with this weirdly suspicious smile, and I could tell she was up to something. You know when your younger sibling gets that look? Yeah, it was one of those moments."So, jiji,"
she began, jiji is basically a traditional Indian word for ‘big sister’ "How was your day?"
I side-eyed her.
What are you up to, Avishi?"It was... good?"
I replied, unsure of where this was going.
"Good! That’s nice."
She was still smiling. Okay, definitely up to something. And then, boom, she dropped the bomb..
"Btw, jiji, you know that boy... what’s his name... umm, Kartik, right?"
Ahh, there it is. The infamous Kartik Rawat.
"Yeah, what about him?"
I asked, trying not to sound too interested.
I already knew Avishi had some sort of crush on him, but I wasn’t going to make this easy for her.
"Well, what kind of boy is he? Like, is he a good boy or, you know, a chapri?"
She was rambling now,
"You know, those self-obsessed guys who think we’re in love with them after one glance? Or is he the nerdy topper type?"
I raised an eyebrow.
