"Would you like some tea, Master Bruce?" Alfred asks holding a cup of tea in his hand. Bruce Wayne was sat at the batcomputer staring at images of a crime scene. He was wearing the batsuit with the cowl removed.  "Thank you Alfred." Bruce says taking the tea from Alfred.

Bruce just stared at the screen with cold calculating eyes as he saw the gruesome scene, blood everywhere, dismembered limbs strewn about the floor. On the next picture a persons head on a table with a smile cut onto his face. Forensic analysis revealing it was done before his death. And on the wall behind it green and white spray paint spelling the words "Did ya miss me Batsy."

"The joker escaped again, sir?" Alfred asked noticing Batman's grip tightening on the cup. He set down the empty cup and continued staring at the clear message. "Sometimes I wonder if I should have killed him. If I should kill him."

"That's a dangerous line of thought Master Bruce. Your restraint is what sets you apart. It is your greatest strength." Alfred said placing a hand on his shoulder.

" I wonder where I would be without you Alfred." Bruce said. He then saw the Bat-signal turn on.

"Tim! Suit up!" Bruce said alerting the teenage boy wonder as he pulled his cowl over his face his white eyes glowing menacingly as he marched towards the Bat-wing.

The Bat-wing took off through the waterfall off the side of the cliff off Wayne Manor and heading towards GCPD where both Batman and Robin ejected and gilded towards the rooftop towards the signal, expecting Jim Gordon but instead it was a man wearing a Red helmet.

"Jason?" Batman said approaching Red Hood. "Hey Bruce, and hello boy wonder. Glad to see you haven't got the crowbar treatment yet." He said.

"Why did you turn on the signal?" Batman asked. "Needed to get your attention." He said calmly.

"The front door is always open you know. Alfred would love to see your face." Tim chimed in. "Not happening in this lifetime kid." Red Hood said.

" I am 17." Robin said. "Still a child." Jason retorted. "You wanna go crowbar?" Tim challenged. "Try me pipsqueak." Jason said taking his guns out. "Enough!" Bruce said stepping in.

"What did you want to tell me Jason?" Bruce asked.

"There's a rumour going around. I don't know much but there's been some chatter on the underground. About some 'storm' coming to Gotham."  Jason said. "Thought I'd warn you." He said before turning around and leaving.

"And where are you going?" Bruce asked. "The Joker is out again Bruce. I am bringing him in. Don't worry no one will get hurt. Much." Jason said before jumping off the building and disappearing into the city.

"Tim you should go home. I will be patrolling alone today." Bruce said. "Why?" Tim asked. "You have an exam tomorrow Tim." Bruce said. "But I-!" "No buts Tim. You fail tomorrow and I will put you on cleanup duty on the watchtower for a month." Bruce said simply stopping any retort from the teenager.

Tim grappled onto the hovering Bat-wing and went back to the manor. Meanwhile Batman was trying to contact someone. "Oracle, I want you to track Jason. Report to me about his every move."

"This isn't gonna be easy Bruce." Oracle reported back.

"That's why I am asking you to do it." Bruce said.

"How's the treatment?" Bruce asked grappling to the next building.

"Great! I can move my toes now!" She said sarcastically.

"Have patience Barbara I promise you will be back on the field soon." Bruce said surveying from the ledge.

"I should get back to tracking Jason." She said trying to distract herself. The comm line cut off as Bruce glided his way towards another building.

He saw through his detective vision armed thugs breaking into a building. He watched them before disappearing into the dark.

They were trying to break into the door using a crowbar while the orders remained as lookout armed with guns.

They heard a clatter as a flashbang went off blinding them and the area was covered with smoke.

Bruce fired the REC at their three guns as they pointed their guns everywhere. Suddenly they could see again but the smoke still remained.

Then they saw a pair of white eyes through the smoke and aimed and fired their guns at it but they were all electrocuted.

Leaving the one with the crowbar still clueless as he tried to pry the door open.

He then saw a shadow looming over him and turned around to see the Batman towering above him.

His head was then slammed into the door knocking him unconscious as the sound of sirens approached leaving four unconscious thugs and the Batman on top of the ledge watching them.

As the police approached they saw the Batman in a flash of lightning and pointed their flashlights at him only for him to have disappeared.

Batman was now on top of Wayne tower amidst the thunderstorm as rain fell upon Gotham. A bolt of lightning illuminated him as he watched the city.

Gotham's watchful protector, it's guardian angel.

The Dark Knight.

Author's note:

Did I go a bit overboard with Batman's entry did I mess up his character. Idk I am nervous Batman is complicated and writing him won't be easy as writing original characters. So please do be sure to comment and point out any mistakes I made and how I could improve. Cheers mates.
