Blue sat down on the floor, humming. He knew he was a Hydro Sovereign Scry, in fact the 21st of it's generation. He didn't know what responsibilities that came with tho. So, I'm order to understand his role more thoroughly, he was resorting to coming into direct contact with his ancestors.

He walked outside and into a secluded area. Sand.. perfect. He sat by the river connecting Tidalbrew and Granitaria.

He used a stick to trace a circle in the sand, putting down four rocks along the "corners" of the circle, all marked with sigils. Then, he pulled out a bowl and filled it with water placing it in the middle. He took off his shoes and sat down in front of the bowl, in the middle of the circle, on his knees.

That traditional Japanese sit i can't remember the name of.

Afterwards he lit two candles, placing them on either side of the bowl. Then, he pulled out a sage stick and lit it as it started to burn. He traced the outer rim of the bowl with the burning stick.

"Ancestors.. hear my plea..." He spoke gently, letting out a deep breath. "Guiding spirits of the deep blue sea, to the waves to skies above, please, grant me wisdom, grant me love..."

"In waters still and oceans untamed, I seek the truth, I seek yet your names.. for why am I the chosen one, tell me now, what must be done.." He kept his eyes closed, still tracing the bowl as the water starts to glow slightly.

"Let your voices rise and flow, through this current, you shall let me know. Ancestors of the Scrys before, Show me now, forevermore.." He spoke, still with his eyes closed. He extinguished the sage in the bowl of water and gently dipped his Scryglass in the bowl before looking through it.

It was a village. A barely functioning village.. Blue started to walk around but felt around his mouth. A.. a talisman..?  He looked it it which was practically stuck to his mouth.

"Hana..sanaide..  ku.. ku..dasai.. oh!" He thought. "話さないでください! Please don't speak.. I guess I can't speak." He continued walking around the village and stumbled across a girl with blue hair. He carefully snuck around, listening. She was in her home just.. burning sage.

"Oh mighty lords above.. Dearest Alan I beg of you.." She gently spoke. "Bring back the beings.. the ancient lords, for this world does not deserve peace. The Dark Lord, The Chosen One, The Second Coming.. hear my pleas. For your suffering is no more!!" She shouted as a massive Red light shot up from her water, pushing her into a wall. That water soon developed into a hand as she looked up and saw the three brothers, Dark's hand holding her against the wall by her neck, choking her.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't choke you out right here right now." He chuckled.

The girl smirked. "B-Because I brought you back." She spoke as Dark's eyes widened, letting go, dropping her to the floor as she continued coughing.

"Who are you." Chosen spoke up.

"I-I am.. Nala.. Fuji.. The First Hydro Sovereign Scry." She smirked as Blue gasped.

"No.. no way.. I.. my Ancestor is the reason they exist in the first place?!" He thought, before peaking again.

Dark chuckled. "Well then.. shall we get going? We've got a job to do." He said, as the two made their way towards Blue. He ducked for cover, scared but they simply walked right through him. He blinked, turning to them as he watched them fly off into the distance.

"You weren't supposed to see that, you know." Nala spoke, looking right at Blue. Blue jumped a bit looking around.

"Oh right, you can't speak. Let me help with that, I'm sure you have loads of questions." She said, removing the talisman from Blue's mouth with magic.

"I— who— you— them— WHAT?!" Blue shouted as Nala gave a small giggle.

"The Nala you saw was the one from this time period.. 630 BH, Before Hollows." She sighed. "I am not that proud of what I have done.. I was angry."

"Wait so you're.." Blue asked as Nala nodded. "I am the current Nala. I have heard your plea and once the brothers left, I took control of the past Nala's body."

"So.. why did you.. do all this.. you.. you.. you killed off so many innocent lives you.. your actions caused the death of my friend's father..—"

"Buer.." She sighed, looking down. "I remember him, quite well.."

"WAITWAIT— hold. I'm trying to piece  things together.. Second told me he had only one revival. He and his brothers were created by Alan and then put into a deep thousand year sleep by Sunny and brought back during our current time period. There's clearly a piece missing."

"He didn't tell you because he didn't want you to suffer the knowledge of knowing someone of your bloodline is responsible for this." Nala spoke. "After being created by Alan, they were all turned away multiple times by the people in a fit of racism. Their kind wasn't welcomed all because they looked different from humans. It was the same case with the Sovereigns."

Blue looked down. "So that's why you.." He said as Nala nodded. "Due to being turned away and discriminated multiple times, even after Buer..— or well- King Orange offered them a warm place to stay, even after they accepted and stayed there for years to come, the discrimination didn't stop and eventually they had enough, taking it out on the people. But they were gravely mistaken.."

"King Orange had enough and used his own magical abilities to seal them away permanently.. but I was selfish and brought them back in order to "teach the world a lesson." But.. I regretted it instantly. No one knew that Orange was coming down with a terrible sickness that disabled his power.. he was unable to seal them away and.."

"Sunny happened.." Blue mumbled as Nala nodded.

"Wait wait.. then.. I need to know. What's.. what's my job as the 21st Hydro Sovereign Scry.." Blue asked.

"Woah, the 21st?? That's.. hm." Nala mumbled. "Nothing." She spoke as Blue tilted his head.

"We Sovereigns, it is true we are Demigods.. sent to protect the world. But there is no obligation which enforces that status.. that's what the Archons are for after all." Nala smiled. "It was nice chatting with you. But if I stay any longer, I could disrupt the flow of time."

Blue looked at her with a frown. "Will I be able to speak to you again?"

"Not in the way you think." She said. "I am long gone, after all. You can communicate with my spirit, but physically, no." She sighed. "I h,..pe., to... ee ..y.. a..ga..n.. lue.." She said as it all became  a blur.

"Blue!! Blue!!" He heard someone call his name. Warm lips pressed up against his..

!!

He opened his eyes, revealing he was passed out on the beach and looked up to see Yellow, with Purple and Red behind him.

"Oh! Oh baby! Thank goodness you're alright!" Yellow said, hugging Blue.

Blue decided to spare them all the pain of his newfound knowledge..

But how could he live with himself..? Knowing that everything happened because of his own blood?
