The Red Carpet

"As Mia Shane, a new celebrity you want to look at is in a stunning movie directed my Jimmy Lanes, called Eternity where a girl is bound to defeat her stepfather whom is possessed by a demon after her friend Lia, who is played by Mia Shane goes missing and his needed for sacrificing. People loved Mia Shane and is in hopes for her future work," Nick reads out loud to me and drops the magazine on his desk.
I was finally on a magazine cover like the guy Max promised. Directors have been calling me left and right when the movie Eternity released. Even foreign films wanted me in their movies. Directors were sending me scripts left and right. I was staring in so many movies it made my head spin. I was staring in two movies at a time and my schedule was booked for the pass few months. Genesis got a role in a low budget movie called The Blonde which was a porn movie. I mean Genesis was a porn star.
"Congratulations," Nick says as we were in his office late at night.
He poured me a glass of champagne and handed it to me.
"Cheers," he says as we clink our glasses together.
"Thank you Nick," I said.
"You know that's what friends are for," he says giving me a smile.
We sat in silence for a minute while he rapidly tapped his fingers on his glass table.
"So do you have...parents?" He asked me.
"My mom killed my dad and then killed herself so no," I said.
"I'm uh...sorry to hear that," Nick says with a nervous look.
"It's ok," I said. "Genesis's family adopted me so I'm ok with that."
"Well that's great."
"Do you have parents?"
"Yeah my mom's a model and my dad is a business man. I have two sisters and a brother so you know."
I nodded my head and it was kind of awkward a little.
"So what did your parents do before they passed?" He asked me.
Nicholas was leaned back in his chair with his shirt unbuttoned and was looking at me with that look.
"My mom was a banker," I said. "My dad was an...attorney."
"He must've been a nice one," Nick chuckled.
"He kind of was."
Me and Nick didn't talk much. We just talked about my upcoming movies and left.

"We are here with the star Mia Shane from the movie Eternity," a reporter says.
It was my first red carpet and Nick was my date. People were familiar with him as he greeted everyone. I felt his hand on my back and it felt like I was his. It was the way his brown eyes were looking at me, his eyes were roaming my body freely.
"So Mia what was it like working on the set?" I reported asked me shoving a microphone in my face.
Her eyes were waiting for an answer for me.
"It was great-"
"How is your love life?" One reporter asked me.
"She's not dating anyone right now," Nick answers to me.
"Are you dating anyone Mr. Chavez?" A reporter asked him.
The attention was all on him right now. Nick did a little laugh and smirked at me.
"I'm not at the moment but someone in mind," he says and smirks at me.
The red carpet was full of reporters asking me endless questions and me autographing alot of things.
"So how are you and Nick?" Genesis asked me as we were in the bathroom.
She was at the red carpet with me but she was here with someone else.
"We're not dating but I guess we're good," I said checking my makeup.
Genesis had a cheetah print dress on with gold jewelry and her boobs are visible.
"Do my boobs look big?" She asked me sniffing cocaine and rubbing her nose.
I nodded and rolled my eyes.
"So how is it being a porn star?" I asked her.
"Fucking great," she laughs and winks. "Get it? Fucking great?"
I rolled my eyes again and she started laughing.

"How was your first red carpet?" Nick asked me as he invited me over his apartment the next morning.
He made me breakfast and I was in awe.
"It was good," I said and took a sip of my coffee.
Nick was reading the newspaper with his shirt off. I was blushing like crazy because his toned abs were out.
"Like what you see?" He smirked at me as he looked up from his newspaper.
Shit I think he caught me staring at him. I was embarrassed.
He slides me a magazine. I looked down and I saw me on the front of it.
"Wow..is this...well is that me?" I asked.
"Of course it's you," he laughs at me. "It's the first copy. They used the picture we did a photo shoot on."
I flipped through a couple pages and they were all about me. That pictures of me on the set of the movie, me in small roles and other things.
I flipped to the page where they had one of me and Nick titled Mia Shane's Possible Lover? With our picture together.
I looked at Nick and frowned.
"We're not dating we're just good friends," I said and tossed the magazine on the table.
"That's Hollywood for you," he says. "They twist your fucking words and make money off of it."
I could tell Nick was hurt when I tossed the magazine on the table.
Me and Nick knew each other for nearly over a month. He got me gigs, I was getting popular by the minute, we went out on dates etc.
But we were in that little area and asked ourselves what were we? Were we dating? Or just friends with benefits?
"Hey I have a reservation at a restaurant you might like," Nick says putting down his newspapers and looked at me. "Maybe we can uh...you know go together."
"Um sure," I said.
"It's tonight," he says. "Wear something...sexy."
