5] Get The Job

I sighed exhausted in bed as I groaned quietly before looking at the time on my phone on my nightstand with squinted eyes, 6:03am it showed. I glance at my wall that was pure clear glass and it indeed is still a little dark however the sun is going to be up soon, I still have time to get ready and get a drink at Starbucks before the meeting today. But before I decide to fully get up I laid back down on my side watching videos for a bit on my phone on Instagram reels for awhile until then I wanna take a picture once I get a good sunrise in my room since it's very appealing to see every morning just to wake up to something so beautiful to post on my story.

Once I got a picture I posted it, already receiving notifications already I chuckled softly. I headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and skin care.

Time skip

"Dammit I'm gonna be late if I don't hurry up!" I talked to myself loudly before then my phone starts ringing at my office as I was rushing to put on my jeans so I ran to the office once I buttoned up my jeans, ah it was Minji. So I answered.

"Hey, what's up?" I said embarrassed as she had me on FaceTime. "Hello my wonderful bestie!~ You better hurry girl, my boss is in her office still." She teased, seems like she's at work. "Oh shut up I was in the middle of getting ready!" I scoffed before bringing my phone with me to my room as I threw it to my bed and stripped my shirt off going through my closet for a bra also a presentable shirt to wear, I ended up finding a white buttoned up shirt so I wore that and put on a flannel as well, unbuttoning the sleeve of the flannel; rolling it up till my elbow. Once I finished changing I picked up my phone giving Minji an outfit check, "How does this look?" I asked before placing my phone down on the edge of my shelf backing up. "Looks gorgeous on you, better hurry though." She smirks, I smirked back before blowing a kiss. "I will don't worry, now lemme finish getting ready." She giggles and nods. "Okay, love ya!"

"Love you too." I replied before she hangs up the phone, immediately I rushed to the bathroom to fix my hair brushing it throughly before leaving it alone. I decided to add mascara and lipgloss to make sure I looked good, I went back to my room putting on some sneakers including grabbing my glasses, phone, AirPods, and my purse. After I left the house rushing to get to the company.

While running I looked at the time on my phone and it's 12:49pm I'm barely almost there but there's a whole ass crowd, I scoffed rolling my eyes before making my way through. I then bumped into someone, actually I bumped into two people— "Sorry!" I shouted before looking back noticing one of the two people I bumped into was the same guy I saw yesterday— and this time he was wearing something different, he was wearing a black zipper hoodie that showed a white tank top, he's wearing a hat too. Along with the other guy he's wearing shirt that's short sleeve and had a hoodie he's wearing along with a mask, weird... are they everywhere? I didn't pay too much of neither expressions as I continued running, hurrying so I wouldn't be late.

"Hey you made it just in time." The boss says as I entered out of breath, she's sat down on her chair looking at my figure. Possibly trying to read me and my professionalism. "Yes, apologies for making it last minute." I replied under my breath. "No worries, so you're who Minji talked about... Sunji, right?" The boss raises her brow I nodded. "Yes, Sunji is my Korean name. People sometimes call me Leah for my English name." I replied once I catch my breath finally, I sat down at the chair across from her. "Ah..interesting. Well sorry for not introducing myself sooner, my name is Sabrina it's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled and reached her hand out I took it shaking hands. "Likewise." I responded. "So you're a software engineer too I heard from Minji, how long have you been doing it?" Sabrina questions. "Well I've done it since I was around 17 but actually started as a job at 21 at my first company." I explained, "Oh so none of this is new to you huh?" She chuckles. I did too along with her shaking my head. "Nope." I smiled.

After a while we talked about backgrounds and a little bit of levels, what they do, about the company too. It was really nice and refreshing, heading what they have and that they take good care of their workers even if there is people who have too much pride they make it work. "Alrighty how does it sound? Willing to take the job?" Sabrina asks, I nodded. "Yes, I'm more than willing to accept the offer." I agreed, I can't believe it. "Well then, welcome to the company!" She cheers before we both stand up and hugged. "Thank you, I won't let you down." I returned before then leaving her office before getting jump scared by Minji. "YES! YOU'RE FINALLY HERE!" She says excitedly as she hugs me tightly I hugged just as tight back as we squealed with joy. "Looks like I'm apart of the company now!" I squealed as we walked around the building showing me around including where my office will possibly be at if her boss will end up putting me at since it's an empty seat. Maybe this is the company I belong now, I can tell I'll have a good time if I just ignore the envious people here. "Soooo what do you think of the place? It's nice huh?" Minji says as we were at the lounging area at the rooftop I nodded. "Really is actually, I didn't know this place would have a gaming room and free food??? I didn't have that at the other company." I gossiped. "Well told you, ya should've joined here first instead." She snorted I rolled my eyes.
