They went to collect black sand. (iron sand) Higan had changed to a rather revealing garment. However, the thought of her skin clothing getting wet and taking forever to dry, led her to not complain about it. Senku and Chrome were getting nagged at by Kohaku for not helping.
As Higan diligently collects the materials they need, she notices a weird melon floating in the water towards her. She stops the melon and a little girl emerges. "Woah." Higan blinks at the unexpected arrival. Kohaku noticed and walked towards the two.
"It's you Suika..why are you here?" Kohaku asked. "She's one of the village people? Suika.. huh..?" Higan hum. From the moment she met Kohaku, Kinro, Ginro and now Suika.. all their names are related to something. Like Kinro and Ginro for example.. their name means gold and silver. It's something that she noticed.
Apparently, Suika followed them here and wanted to help. She wants to be useful. fortunately, Senku didn't mind it at all. In fact, he welcomes all the help he can get. Higan smiled at Senku and Suika's interaction, she walked beside Senku with a knowing look and nudged him a little.
"Cut it out.." he scoffed, he covered his mouth to hide that smirk on his face. "Such a tsundare.." Higan teased and Senku rolled his eyes.
Suika was stunned. "No one has ever not asked Suika, why Suika wears this thing.." she mumbles. "He must have realised Suika just doesn't want to show Suika's face and didn't bother Suika about it.." Suika said as she feels touched by Senku. Kohaku sighed and Chrome looked sceptical.
"You obviously don't know Senku." Kohaku said. "He doesn't give a crap about your face as long as you're an asset." Chrome added.
They continue to gather black sand and the topic of Momotaro comes up. Senku and Higan were slightly surprised that they knew about Momotaro.

For those who don't know (I'm sure most of us have no idea who tf is Momotaro since we ain't Japanese) basically- Momotaro is about a boy born from a peach, who gets the help of a dog, monkey and pheasant, helps him defeat the ogres. (This full story summary at the end of this chapter :3)
Senku asked them how they knew about Momotaro, their answer was Ruri. The priestess tells all sorts of stories. Higan uses this opportunity to ask how Chrome knew about Gorilla, since she heard him call Kohaku a 'Nimble gorilla' while he was slacking off with Senku.
Kohaku said they've never seen one in person and Chrome added that they heard a gorilla show up in the tale of Momotaro. Senku protested saying, there's definitely no gorilla that appears in the tale. Chrome also added that the gorillas are one of the animals Momotaro recruited. Chrome listed Gorilla, bear, lion and crocodile and Higan blink at this twisted story they once knew.. well it was once well known throughout Japan.
