Chapter 9 (The Baad Sorcerer)

TITLE

~The Baad Sorcerer~

Third Person POV-

"Hey! I'm Chrome. And I got one baaad head on my shoulders!! I'm a genius sorcerer!!" The guy known as Chrome declared.

Senku looks unimpressed while Kohaku had a knowing look. However, Higan eyes widened, she covered her mouth as she trembled.

"Pff-" she bends down as she tries her hardest to hold in her laughter, she quickly turns away to not look at him. Her shoulder trembles as she covers her face, she really wants to laugh but she's afraid to hurt the new guy, Chrome's feelings.

Although, I think we all know that Chrome is definitely blushing in embarrassment at this point.

"HEY! what are you laughing at!!" He pointed at the red haired girl, he was red with a frown. "Something adorable.." she said simply after calming herself down. He blink and blushes hard. "W-who's adorable?!" Chrome stuttered.

"Don't get her words in your head buddy." Senku said click his tongue, seemingly irritated. "ANYWAY, Kinro Ginro. Don't be afraid of these things. They are made from charcoal lye." Chrome said as he pop all of the bubbles with his finger.

"We weren't scared. Only a fool let's down his guard in the face of-" Kinro was cut off. "I was actually scared.." Ginro admitted and Kinro looked at him unimpressed. "Why did you come anyway? I'd rather not rely on your dubious sorcery, Chrome.." Kinro said.

"You're choice, but I won't be upstaged! Sorcery is my domain, so back off!" Chrome said as he threw his coat thingy. Higan was amusement at the side line looking at the two sorcerer\scientist stare at each other. "things could get hairy for the villagers if we fight here. let's pick a different location." Chrome said smugly.

They end up at the outskirts of the village, where we can see a hut in the clearing. Chrome showed some fire reaction as he throw in some salt, cooper and sulfur in that order. All the village people were impress and amazed. Higan was amuse and Senku was not impress. Senku easily identify the trick Chrome was using, Chrome was panicking deep inside as the situation turns out far from what he expected. To say that he lost is an understatement, the emotional damage that Chrome got when Senku knew every single trick the he got and even able to explain how he did the trick. 

"What is this? Baby's first science experiment?" Senku scoffed. "You can't blame them Senku, they grow up without the things that we have.." Higan chuckle as she nudge him slightly. Senku give her the side eye and clicked his tongue. "I didn't say I'm blaming them.." he said as he rub his nape.

"No matter what he do.. Tsukasa can never erase the curiosity of humans to learn everything and anything." Higan chuckle. "He can kill me, he can kill whoever he wants. but try as he wants to reset science. we smooth and shiny monkeys have among us a baad blockheads like chrome who'll experiment with everything and anything." Senku said as he chuckle. "And.. they'll always be there to revive a scientific civilization." The two chuckle together and Kohaku watch them on the side.

"Senku! don't you have some sorcery or science to save Ruri?" Chrome asked. Ruri is the older sister of Kohaku and also the priestess of the village.

"I can't say without examining her first, there are medicines that can cure just about anything, but.." Senku pauses seemingly thinking.

"But we lack the Ingredients to make that." Higan added. Senku nudges her slightly, they seem to have a silent conversation. Higan chuckles lightly as she shurgs.
