TITLE
~The Mentalist Gen~
Higan's POV
"My name is Gen. You must be Higan Chan." Gen said as he looked at me. "Yes.. that is me." I observed him, he has that sketchy vibe around him.
'Wait.. Gen.. Gen? I feel like I've heard that name before..'
It's like Senku becomes a mind reader, he answered the question that was on my mind. "Yes, he's that random magician who wrote a trashy book on psychology." Senku said. I tilted my head in understanding. "You've read my work? How wonderful." Gen smiled cunningly. "Though.. Calling it trashy is a bit cruel." He pouted slightly. "And please, call me a mentalist." Gen insisted with a smile.
'It's amusing how he's able to manipulate his expression like that.'
"Alright mentalist." I chuckled slightly to gain his attention. "Let's see if you can handle the mental toll that this work has.." I paused. "As well as physically.." I added.
I bring everyone to the furnace, and watch as they do their best to make it hot enough to melt iron. Everyone takes turns to work, when one is too tired they swap. Keeping the temperature high and constant to melt the iron.
As I waited for my turn, I saw Senku approaching Gen. "Gen Asagiri, How're Taiju and Yuzuriha doing these days?" Senku asked, my eyes raise at Senku's approach.
'always so upfront and straightforward.. that's Senku for you.'
"Ah.. So this is your game? pull one over on me while I'm distracted and slaving away?" Gen panted slightly. "Your brave man.. to challenge a mentalist to that sort of battle." Gen smiled slightly. Senku wasn't amused, he was waiting for his answer. I can't help but be amused at Senku's impatient expression. "But don't worry.. they are doing just fine, especially Taiju with his bottomless stamina." Gen grin wickedly. "but you already know all that.. Senku." Gen added.
Kohaku immediately jumped in. "So he is working for Tsukasa. Should I kill him?!" Kohaku said. I can't help but laugh. Senku looked at me, he seemed kinda annoyed that I laughed. Kohaku was very confused and Gen looked intrigued. "What's so funny, Higan?" Senku asked me. I walked over to them, standing beside Senku. "Oh.. you know, you guys just conversing without me. And I find that a bit amusing." I looked at Senku. "Stop frowning." I nudged him slightly and he clicked his tongue. "We aren't killing anyone, you fool." Senku said to Kohaku.
"Gen Asagiri, you were ten billion percent onto us from the start." Senku crack a smirk, the annoyance is becoming amusing. "So why just let it slip so easily that your Tsukasa pal?" Senku asked. "Not that it really matters since we knew since the beginning." I added.
"Higan Chan, Tsukasa did say you are a terrifying gal." Gen chuckled slightly. I blink.
'me? A terrifying gal? In what way am I terrifying..' I chuckled in my mind.
"The reason is simple Senku Chan." Gen said. "Because the dynamic changed.." he paused. "When I saw all this." Gen added. "In all honesty, there's no doubt in my mind that Tsukasa's empire would win." Gen smiled. "Clearly.." Senku said sarcastically.
"My job is to confirm your death and bring Higan Chan back to Tsukasa." Gen said. I raised an eyebrow, I can see Senku eyebrow lowering to a frown. "Why would Tsukasa want me after I said all those things to him?" Higan asked. Senku was oddly quiet.
