Are You Afraid Of Being Alone?

I looked at myself in the mirror.

Tired... Unhappy...

"Hey [Female Name]] what's wrong?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at the short blonde messy-haired girl standing at the entrance of the bathroom.

I smiled a smile that was fake but tried to be believable.

"I'm Okay Honey just tired as always," I said rubbing my eyes and turning on the sink.

"Aww baby you need to sleep more and stop working so hard," she said as I splashed water on my face and felt her hands around my waist as she kissed the back of my neck.

That made me smile even more and I dried my face.

She let me go and walked out of the room.

"Hey, I Forgot To Tell You I'm Going To That Work Trip In Japan today at Midnight and..."

She stopped making me worry and walked out of the bathroom and to our bedroom, walking up to her sitting on our bed.

I sat next to her and held her.

"And..?"

She looked at me a bit sad mixed with worried.

"I'll be gone for a month..."

My eyes widened and I began to shake a little.

"W-What?"

"Look it's not that bad-"

I cut her off before she talked even more.

"Not That Bad?! You'll be gone for a month and... And what if y-you cheat on me? Or something bad happens to you? W-what if..."

I then felt her warm smooth hand on my skin as her thumb rubbed against my cheek.

She made me look at her as she was still smiling.

"[F/n]] calm down... I'll never do that to you, you're the only person in my life I see that I'll have a future with, besides I'm the only person who is capable of understanding your struggles, your mental health and more"

When she said this I calmed down knowing everything will be alright.

"There you go, that's it, calm down honey everything will be okay between us," she slowly rested her forehead against mine as I fully calmed down.

"Just stay safe okay?"

She nodded and kept her smile.

[Timeskip: Midnight]]

She was preparing herself putting on her suit and tie and walked downstairs.

"How do I look?"

She asked and I looked at her up and down, admiring her beauty.

"You Look Good babe," I said walking closer to her and wrapping my arms around her.

I felt her arms around mine and her lips on my head.

We stopped hugging and she grabbed her bag, walked over to the front door, grabbed the car keys, and looked back at me.

"I'll call you when I get there okay?"

I nodded and gave her one last kiss goodbye.

"I'll miss you"

I said and she gave me one last smile before she kissed me.

"I'll miss you too," she said one last time before she left.

I closed the door and locked it before walking upstairs and going to bed.

[Next Day, 1:34]]

I closed the laptop after I got done calling Valerie.

I looked outside and saw that it was cloudy and foggy.

Knowing that it would be the first and last day I'd ever see this stunning weather I went to the closet to get some clothes.

I put on a Misfits Black shirt, dark blue straight-cut jeans, and dark red high-top shoes.

After changing I went downstairs and went over to the hanger close to the door.

I put on a grey hoodie and a vintage green sweater over it, black fingerless gloves, and lastly, I grabbed my brown dirty messenger bag and went over to the counter to get some stuff.

My phone just in case I get a message or call from Valerie, a flashlight just in case my phone dies when it gets dark, two battery packs just in case the flashlight dies, and lastly my trusty switchblade for anyone who tries to start a problem with me.

I was all set, but before I left I texted Valerie.

[Hey I Won't Be Home I'm going out since it's that time the weather got nice I'll be home before it gets dark, I love you]]

Not even after a second, she texted me back.

[Please Be Safe! I love you too and if anything goes wrong Please, please call me and I'll drop everything to take care of you, I Love You]]

I smiled and texted her back before I left.

I turned my phone off and put it back into my bag, I grabbed the extra house key, unlocked the front door, and left after locking it again.

I took a deep breath smelling the nostalgic smell of rain.

And now I started walking.

Into the fog.
