A wild woman of the west
I blossomed and then died
But not before I wrote my name
On Tombstone's seedy hideI loved my Doc despite our rows
I followed him through hell
I watched him shoot up rustlers
He fought against Death's knellConsumption took him mighty fast
And what was I to do
I did not want to be the bride
Forever glum and blueSo, I honed my skills at pleasing men
And struck it rich in bed
While none could love me good as Doc
It kept my mouth well fedI never told of what I knew
Of shootouts at corrals
But I was known among the town
As every man's best galI gambled good as any king
A witty, outlaw lass
I lived a life chalk full of warmth
Rough and loose and crassIf I could only live again
I'd do it just the same
Except I'd make my Darling Doc
Live long to see his fame
