Seven: Song Of Love

Monday in the afternoon. The bell rang out through the halls of Camden High, announcing something big. As the excited voices of the students chatter smoothed over into silence, the voice of our Principal crackled across the hallway.

"Good morning, students! We have some very exciting news," Our Principal started with a little smile in her voice.

"Because all of your hard work this semester, the school is going to throw a party next Monday evening!"

Cheers and surprised whispers rip through the halls. A school party? At Camden High? This is a pretty uncommon occurrence, and for some, almost impossible! Our Principal continues to explain that there would be music, games, a photo booth, production numbers from the students, and even a surprise theme yet to be revealed.

"Let's get together with everyone; let's all come out, relax, and have good times. Mark those calendars, plan your outfits, and we'll see you there!" Our Principal added.

After the announcement had finished, all my classmates, all the students in Camden High swarmed the hallways, excitedly buzzing. Plans began to be made.

I am not really into parties, especially this kind of parties, I just don't like too much noise around me. Oh! And the students must have their own performance; it could be singing, dancing, or whatever they wanna do. I was thinking not to attend the "stupid" party, but, Arthur is going, and I don't want him to go alone. So, I have no other choice than to be there.

To be honest, there's still that part of me that I also want to go. Just to see Theo. But then, I realized that he will probably be with his girl, Jessica. And I don't want to see her, I hate her. I mean how could I hate her? She's every boys dream. I have no match for her. I still wonder about their relationship though, like are they really being serious? Or is Theo treating her right? Is Theo really in love with her?

GOSH I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK ANYMORE!!!

Athur's POV

I asked Oliver if he's gonna perform on stage during the party, as usual, he is being so dramatic. Oliver is my friend, I saw him in his joyful days, crying days, and every decision he made. I also saw him with his talent. He is such a good singer. I went to their house once, and I saw that he has a guitar. So asked him if he could play it, and he did. His voice is so relaxing and charming.

That's why I will give my every power to convince him. He ain't gonna go to the party if it wasn't for me. Offf, his such a good friend hahaha.

Oliver's POV

Gosh, Arthur can be so annoying sometimes, but what can I do, he's my best friend. He even asked me to sing in front of everyone in this upcoming party happening in our school. If this is not only for Arthur's sake... I will not do it. Hmmmm, this can serve as my birthday gift to him anyway, so... god help me.

Everyone is so busy preparing for the party. And I am thinking about writing a song, but I couldn't do it without an inspiration. When I laid down to my bed, I suddenly had a picture of Theo in the back of my mind. I immediately stood up and went to my desk and grabbed my notebook with unfinished poems and sketched in it. I turned the pages and wrote a new song, I titled it "Every Glance". Even I could not help but remember a number of those moments when I used to secretly admire Theo from afar, I still admire him, his irresistible smile, that he could enlighten any space with his presence, and bring me impossible but genuine happiness so easily. I strummed a few chords and the first line I spoke was;

"I sit within the corner in crowded halls, but you do not see me"

that line made me smile, but for me it felt wrong somehow,and that smile fades away when a lyric pop in my mind;
