77. Attack

No one had expected anything to happen when the game just had ended what more that it was said that thousands of dragons were to appear just because the gate got opened. Princess Hisui can't believe it also, that she of all people would be the one that causes those dragons to appear and wreck havoc in Fiore. She stared wide eyed at the flying creatures in the sky, the rune knights telling all civilians to move and evacuate immediately.

Mages all around the town gathered more to lend a helping hand even though they weren't sure if they can kill a dragon. Though in everyone's mind, there's a few of them who can.

A few distance away from everyone, the members of all guilds that are still presents fought the dragons. All their attacks were aimed to their huge scaled body. But unfortunately, not even one hit could make a small scratch. It's infuriating. But that's all that they can think about. To attack with all their might and defend the town.

“ Fire Dragon's Secret Art: Crimson Lotus!”

A huge blast of fire magic surge from above the tall building with Natsu standing above focusing on his opponent. A vein pop out on the side of his head when his attack didn't get his target. The other guy smirks at the failed attack while standing on top of a dragon's head. Future Rogue looks down on him before letting out another attack which Natsu had predicted and was quick to avoid it.

They have been fighting for quite a bit. In fact everyone was. It felt like hours and they felt the exhaustion hitting them since they just finished the tournament and was not all recovered from their injuries. Though the unexpected events rendering them from taking some rest.

The town was in chaos. Black smokes filled the air as explosions continues from the dragons breathing fire everywhere.

On top of one of the few buildings that are still standing, a lone, dark figure stood. The cloak around them sway a bit with how hard the wind blew on their direction. They were calm, too calm as their eyes observed and watch the scenes happening in front of them, searching and looking for something.

It wasn't until their eyes found what they are looking for. Their jaw tightened with anger as they let their body fall from the building.

Erza pants heavily as she let her eyes scanned the litte dragons that one of those creatures had dropped earlier. It seems like those things keep coming from nowhere. Her body was full of bruises already and the bandage she has are starting to change its color from red as blood sipped through it.

Meanwhile, in front of the eclipse gate. Lucy and Yukino stood both standing and staring at the gate, sweat falls on their neck. Feeling the pressure of what's happening and how to stop it. It was a mistake and they are all suffering on the consequences from it. Lucy felt her heart drum loudly inside her, she didn't know what to do. After future Lucy told them about the eclipse project and what will happen if it got open, she, along with Natsu and the others tried to warned Princess Hisui and Arcadios. They tried to change their mind but unfortunately, both stood their ground that what they are doing is to stop the thousands of dragons from coming and kill the legendary black wizard, Zeref with it. And it was already too late before they realize that Lucy was telling the truth and now, they are facing the result of it.

“ Are you sure you don't want my help, Enlil?” Irene asked the girl in front of her.

Enlil was packing her things, checking if she forgot something before closing it and put it on her pocket dimension. Irene watched it happen and raised an eyebrow at it but not saying anything.

“ I'll be fine, Irene. Besides i got some trick from Servien. I can also teleport from a few distance and I'll just keep doing that until i got there” Enlil said. Irene nod at her. Silence fell on them for a moment before Irene stood up from the couch.

“ Well.. you should get going. Seems like something important is happening there if you're cutting your vacation short” Irene smiled at her as Enlil can hear it.

“ Yeah yeah, i know. I'm going now” Enlil stood up and face the older woman.

“ Now that you know the way here, you can come here if you have any questions which i already know that you did. And I'll be answering it all the next time you come here”

“ Thank you, Irene. I will come again soon, i just need to take some matter back on Fiore. And I'll probably give you a call when i decided to return here. You already have my gold coin, right?” Irene nodded her head at the girl before showing the coin on her hand.

“ Then, I'm going now. See you soon, Irene!” Enlil said before her feature disappeared in front of Irene.

See you, little dragon.. Irene thought.

Back on Fiore, Erza and Lucy had managed to gather around with Mirajane. The group was discussing a way to defeat their enemy while taking down the dragonlings that wants to attack them. Mirajane continues to swipe her claws with one of her form, attacking the dragonlings making it to disappear. While Erza uses a different requip armors she had, Lucy was doing her best since she can't use her celestial keys and she only has her whip with her.

But as the three continues their fight, someone makes an appearance in front of them. Lucy was the first one who noticed the familiar face in front of them. She was glad to have them back again and was in need of some help with what's happening. She knew that this person can help them.

“ Enlil! You're back! I'm glad that you're here but please, help us. Everyone was doing their best...” Lucy continues. But as she was talking to Enlil. Mirajane has a conflict feeling.

‘ W.. what is this? Since when did Enlil has this kind of...’ Mirajane thought but as she did. Her eyes widened suddenly and before she can warned the other two, a sudden blast of dark magic blasted on them.

Lucy being the closest to Enlil yelp loudly as she can feel her body burned in pain from being hit directly. They were thrown a couple of distance landing hard on the concrete ground. Erza was the first one to get herself back from being thrown and sit up whit a hiss.

“ What the hell are you doing, Enlil?!” Erza screamed at the girl with different emotions building up inside her. But Enlil didn't say anything as she just stood there. Her cloak was moving a bit and her face was blank. Lucy tried to seat up and also look at the girl, confused on why she is attacking them all of a sudden.

“ E.. Enlil..” she whispered eyes staring at the girl. She watched as Enlil raised her hand, aiming at them and before they can react, another hit was on them as they screamed loudly.

Natsu who was fighting with Future Rogue, snaps his head as he heard those familiar voices and as he scanned the closest area on which it is coming from, his eyes fell on them. Someone familiar to him was attacking his friends and he seen it all just as the blast had ended and their screams had stopped. He didn't know why but all he can see was red as he turn around from his opponent and jump from the dragon in rage.

“ ENLIL!”
