I Loved You

Prologue

"So, how's life?" Ate Jessie.

"Girl, ang tagal mong nawala! We missed you so much!" Ate Krystine.

Ate Krystine. The older sister of Kevin. The guy that I loved, cherished, and trusted for 6 years.

"Great! Kung hindi ako aalis, edi sana luhaan pa rin ako ngayon." Sabi ko habang iniinom na yung shot ko.

"Tsyaka ang daming connections nun sa buong pilipinas. Mahihirapan ako magtago at kumalimot. Ang sakit kaya nang ginawa niya!" Sabi ko.

Natatawa nalang talaga ako sa mga nangyare last three years ago.

"Don't worry, I'm okay na! He's my past na and will never be my present." Pagpapatuloy ko.

I see how ate Krystine got teary-eyed same as ate Jessie.

He's my first...at everything..

"Ate, your phone." Sabi ko. Inabot ko naman kay ate Jessie yung shot niya.

"Ahm... Is it okay If I answer his call?" Tanong ni ate Krystine.

"Go, answer it. He probably knows already na I'm with you. " Matapang kong sabi.

But, I'm still scared of what will happen once we see each other again.

Kevin: Tine, nasa bar ka ba ngayon?

Krystine: Oo, bakit?

Kevin: How's the sales? Marami bang tao ngayon?

Krystine: I'm not sure. I'm here sa VIP room. I have important guests. Yung kuya Niko mo ang nagbabantay sa baba.

Kevin: Oh, ahm.. Si.. Si Athena ba kasama mo?

Tumingin sa akin si ate Krystine. Hinihintay ang signal ko if sasabihin niya ba na kasama niya ako or hindi.

What for? I thought he doesn't love me anymore? Tapos ngayon he's such a crying baby?

Tumango ako as an answer.

Krystine: Oo, I'm with her and Jessie.

Kevin: Oh.. *silent*

Krystine: Baka mabigla ka na naman. Did you drink your meds na?

Kevin: Yup. Just resting right now. Contemplating if I'm going to chat Ari.

I thought...Jamie's his wife already.

Because that night, I heard and I saw them at fine dining restaurant with their families.

Talking about their future and their...wedding.

And meds? Medicine? Para saan? Nagkasakiy ba siya?

Krystine: Sige na, bye! See you later.

Kevin: Take care, Ate! Take care...of Ari.

"What was that?" Takang tanong ko.

Nagkatinginan muna si Ate Jessie at Ate Krystine. Nagsesenyasan kung sasabihin ba nila or hindi.

"Okay, I know marami kang gustong itanong. And I know na gulong gulo ka na ngayon." Kalmadong sabi ni ate Jessie.

So, she knows.

"Kumalma ka muna, hmm? I'm sorry if ngayon ko lang sasabihin. Dahil, nakita ko kung paano ka nag suffer ng dahil sa kapatid ko." Sabi ni Ate Krystine habang hawak-hawak mga kamay ko.

"Nalaman nalang din namin week after that night."
Sabi ni ate Krystine.
