DAUGHTER'S VISION INTENSIFIES
The stranger's words sent chills down the father's spine.
"What do you mean 'collector'?" he pressed.
But before the stranger could answer, the daughter's eyes glazed over.
"Daddy," she whispered, her voice distant.
"What is it, baby?" the father asked, alarm rising.
"I see... I see darkness. Everywhere."
Her eyes snapped back into focus.
"The driver's not alone," she whispered.
"Who's with him?" the stranger asked, his expression grim.
"The woman in white," the daughter replied.
The stranger's face paled.
"What woman?" the father demanded.
"A harbinger of darkness," the stranger muttered.
Suddenly, the door creaked, as if pushed by an invisible force.
The father's heart sank.
"It's her," the daughter whispered.
The stranger drew a small symbol on the door.
"Protection," he explained.
But the symbol began to fade.
"It's not working," the stranger growled.
A figure materialized outside, shrouded in mist.
The woman in white.
Her presence seemed to draw the light out of the room.
The daughter's eyes locked onto the figure.
"Daddy, she's coming for us."
The woman in white's presence seemed to suffocate the air from the room.
The father's daughter clung to him, her eyes frozen on the figure.
The stranger's eyes darted between the door and the daughter.
"We need to get out of here," he whispered urgently.
But the father hesitated.
"What's going on?" he demanded.
The stranger's voice was low and rapid.
"The woman in white is a harbinger. She signals the collector's arrival."
Suddenly, the door creaked open.
The woman in white floated inside.
Her eyes locked onto the daughter.
The father shielded his child.
But the woman's gaze pierced through him.
A chill ran down his spine.
"You can't hide," she whispered.
The stranger lunged forward.
But a dark figure materialized behind him.
The collector.
His face twisted in a grotesque grin.
"Time to collect," he sneered.
The father's world narrowed.
Protect his daughter.
Anything else was irrelevant.
He charged at the collector.
But the woman in white raised a hand.
The father froze.
Paralyzed.
The collector's grin widened.
"Perfect," he whispered.
