"It was me"

The next morning Bella, JJ, Pope and Kie are gathers around the front counter in heywards shop, "god it's just like those kooks to come at us at a bloody movie" Kiara exclaims.

"Dicks" Bella mutters,

"Douches" Pope adds.

Just as JJ is about to add something Heyward, Popes dad comes in beside sherif shoupe as everyone looks at the pair confused. "Pope there's uh, there's someone here to see you" Popes dad says.

"Pope Heyward, you are under arrest for destruction of private property" Shoupe states as he grabs pope by his hands and leads him outside.

"What are you doing!" Kie yells.

"your taking my boy shoupe really?" Heyward exclaims.

Just them Bella stops on the commotion as she looks between her friends and pope and steps forward, "it wasn't him" she states as JJ shakes his head at her to stop. "It was me" she continues. "I was just so pissed that those damn Kooks kept messing with us and I wanted to do something about it, Pope tried to talk me out of it" Bella goes on.

"Bella what are you doing" Pope says.

"I mean Pope comes from a good family, top level grades, and you know where I'm from shoupe" Bella convinces as JJ shakes his head.

"Yeah, yeah I do" shoupe agrees, "Is this the truth?" He asks.

"The whole truth" Bella replies.

"I know what you think dammit, I'm asking pope" Shoupe snaps as Pope and Bella catch eye contact as she slowly mouths the word 'yes' whilst nodding his head.

"Yeah, it's the truth" Pope repeats as tears come to his eyes as Shoupe walks over to Bella and grabs her hands as she cuffs them.

"Catch ya later" Bell jokes as shoupe pushes her in the car and the pogues watch the car drive off.

"What the hell man!" JJ yells as he pushes popes shoulder and runs off towards the police station as pope grabs his hat and throws it against the floor in anger as Heyward and Kie exchange confused glances.

As Bella sits in her cell waiting for the police to talk to her Peterkin comes in, "your like a rock in my shoe, I think I get rid of it, and there you are again" Peterkin remarks.

"Well maybe you should watch where you step" Bella replies, her voice laced thick with sarcasm.

"You see these men, I know they chased you in the marsh and there dead now." Peterkin snaps as Bella looks at her confused, "and I have deals on to belive their next victim would be your friend John B" Peterkin adds as Bella rolls her eyes.

"I'm not telling you shit" Bella snaps.

"You don't have to, your father's here"Peterkin says as Bella sighs and walks out as she follows her father out.

"Get in the car" he orders as he gets in the drivers seat and as Bella is about to open the passenger door she glances back before getting in.

"YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU OWE ME YOU PEICE OF SHIT!" Her father yells as he slams her head on the window and blood starts trickling down her head.

Her father drags Bella by her hair into her house as he throws her against the floor and punches her in her ribs and across her face as she screams in pain.

"STOP PLEASE" she yells as he grabs her and throws her out on the yard. She grabs her pocket knife from her shoe as he inches towards and with all her power she pushes him on the floor as she holds the knife to his throat.

Just then JJ walks in slowly and easily from the side as he holds his hands out, "GO AWAY JJ!" Bella yells.

"Go on kill your dad!"  Her father taunts as she shakes her head and tears pour out of her eye.

"You are not my father. You gave me nothing! NOTHING BUT A SHITTY LIFE" Bella yells as JJ rushes to her side and wraps his hands around her waist as he pulls her away.

"Come on Bells come on, your safe now, it's okay" JJ re assures as he holds Bella on the side and kicks her father in the head before walking off with her.

Once they are far enough away they sit down beside a big rock as JJ looks at Bells bleeding nose, lip, head and bruises forming on her eye and all over her stomach. "I'm fine" Bella mutters.

"YOUR NOT FINE BELLA!" JJ yells as Bella flinches from his voice level as he looks at her in sorrow and sits behind her with an arm over her shoulder, "I'm sorry" he mutters, "I just don't want you living like this, you deserve the world bells" JJ comments as Bella softly smiles as he places a kiss on her forehead.

"I'll be okay" she mutters as she leans her head into her shoulder and lets her eyes fall shut.

JJ is her safe place, he always has been. He Always will be.
