"Alright, guys, let's go home." J-Hope said, glancing at the clock that now reads 1 AM. "We can regroup again at 9. Get some sleep!"

All the boys started to pack up their things, but you remained in your spot, still adjusting to the fatigue that washed over you.

"Are you coming?" Jungkook asked.

"Not yet. I need to start working on my hair choreography; I just got the details sent today," you replied, letting out a small sigh as you gathered your hair tools.

"That's all good," Jungkook said, flashing you a supportive smile. "Just don't come back too late," RM warned you from across the room.

"Yeah, yeah," you replied, taking your hair out of its high bun.

This wasn't unusual for you. Staying back a little longer to work on your hair choreography was common. Female idols often had to put in extra practice to ensure that halfway through performing, their hair didn't end up in their faces.

However, tonight felt different. You weren't just practicing to manage your hair; you were pushing yourself because the sting of being called "lazy" still echoed in your mind. The label was painful, a harsh reminder that you had to prove your worth in this highly competitive environment.

You wanted to show that you were just as dedicated as anyone else in BTS. The last thing you wanted was to feel like you didn't respect how important BTS was to the Army and to Korea. That wasn't going to happen again. You were determined to push through the exhaustion, even if it meant staying behind while the others got their much-needed rest.

"Your kicks are all starting at different times but ending on beat, so we need to start together," Son Sung Deuk, BTS's choreographer, said as he addressed the group.

"We kick on the offbeat, yet RM and V, you're a beat early. Jungkook and J-Hope, you're a fraction too early, and the rest of you, you're starting to beat after. None of you are kicking at the right time. So, let's go from the top."

He counted out loud "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 1, 2, and kick, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8."

"That's better," he nodded, seemingly satisfied with the improvement.

Another day of rehearsal, another set of eight counts, every day, 24/7. This was the routine.

"Okay, now at full speed. Let's go," Sung Deuk said, raising his voice with an encouraging tone.

You pushed yourself, determined to get it right. You went for it, landing the kick in perfect sync with the others. But then you felt it—a sting on your ankle. You tried to shake it off and keep going, but the pain didn't fade.

"Alright, we're good for now. Go to your other classes," Sung Deuk called out, signalling the end of the rehearsal. "But before you go, Y/N, come here."

"I'll wait for you outside," Jungkook said, flashing you a quick smile as he grabbed his water bottle and towel.

You walked over to Sung Deuk, who was reviewing some notes.
