Maxine "Time Lord" Caulfield: Visiting A Different Timeline (Timelord AU)

Chapter 2

It was another day. Max was in the Blackwell Dorm's in her room and asleep. Her alarm rung and all she did was turn it off. She had a feeling it was going to be another weird day.

"Wakey, Wakey, Max." 

Max opened her eyes and immediately sat up. She saw Maxine looking at herself in the mirror.

"Maxine..?" Max whispered.

"The One and Only. Who else do you know that can pop up at any given moment?" Maxine said causally and she turned around so that she was facing Max.

Max bit her bottom lip, remembering what Maxine had said the other day. "Is it true?"

"Hm?" Maxine hummed.

"Is it true that you are a Time Lord. Is it true that you are me?" asked Max.

"Yeah. It's all true. I am you and I am a Time Lord. Must feel weird seeing an older version of yourself, right?" Maxine asked with a raised eyebrow.

Max nodded. "Yeah..I didn't think there was A version of me that's a Timelord."

Maxine shrugged. "There are many versions of Maxine "Max" Caulfield. I just so happen to be the one making sure everything is in order. Which is why I disappear from time to time. Got to make sure everything is in order with the multiple timelines."

"Multiple timelines..?" Max curiously said.

"Mhm. I'll tell you more about that later. For now get ready for the day. Got a long day ahead of us, well, you." Maxine snapped her fingers and disappeared, just like that. 

"I've got to get used to that." Max said.

Max grabbed some clothes and her supplies she needed to take her shower. She left her dorm room and went take her shower. Kate Marsh was brushing her teeth and she was looking sad. While Max was in the shower, Victoria  and Taylor entered the restroom.

"What's up Kate?" Victoria asked. She leaned on the sink.

Kate Tensed up. "School."

"That's it?" Victoria said. "That video of you clubbing didn't look like homework."

"Victoria that wasn't me.."

" Don't be shy. I think it's awesome you set a tongue record on video." Victoria said meanly.

"You're going to be sorry someday." Kate left the bathroom with her head down.

Victoria rolled her eyes. "Oh boo hoo. I'm sorry you're a viral slut. I'm sure she had fun."

"Looks like it." Taylor said.

"I know Nathan hooked her up. And you know he has the good shit." Said Victoria.

"Preach it sista." said Taylor.

"I wonder who that bitch was that threatened me. I should've slap the shit out of her." Victoria said. Maxine has been on her mind all damn day and all night.

"I don't know, she doesn't look like she goes to this Academy." Taylor said.

"Whoever she is, I know she must be some random slut for all I know." Victoria chuckled.

Max knew they were talking about Maxine. The one who threatened Victoria into leaving.

"Let's leave a link to Kate's video, so everybody gets a chance to see her in action." Victoria said. She wanted EVERYONE to see that video.

Taylor looked happy. "You're such an evil beeatch. I love it!"

Victoria wrote the link to Kate's Video on the mirror so that whoever walks will know the link when they look at it. Then they left. Max came out of hiding but she got dressed. She walked over to the sink and looked at the link.

Maxine entered reality and leaned against the wall. "Kate Marsh.. She's going through a lot right now. That video, on top of that Victoria adding fuel to the fire."

"Yeah, Victoria is so fucking mean." Max frowned.

"Eh. We, by that I mean, YOU. You need to focus on Kate Marsh. Figure out what happened to her.  If she's like the Kate Marsh I know, from the timeline I was born in...then well, she is innocent and wouldn't kiss random boys. Kate likes to stay Pure and wait for the right one." Maxine informed.

"Who was Kate Marsh to you in your timeline?" Max asked.

"She is, or well, was one of my girlfriends that I had. She was sweet. Loved hanging out and clinging to me." Maxine reminisced about Kate Marsh.

"That's so sweet.." Max said with a small smile. "Wait.. What do you mean by, Was? Did you two break up?"

"..." Maxine was silent until she decided to speak up at least a few seconds later. "No..We didn't break up.  It's just.." 

Maxine sighed. "My responsibilities as the Lord of Time had to outweigh the relationships I had. Though, I still visited them when I could and they along with Kate would wait for me each time."

"Being the Lord of time, Must feel lonely. If you have to do it all by yourself and aren't given the time to visit your girlfriends." Max said.

"Yeah...Lonely.. It was a burden passed on to me. A burden of being the Lord of Time. I must carry on that burden for, well, Forever." Maxine said.

"Sheesh.." Max said.

Maxine nodded. "Come on, Go visit Kate Marsh. Get in your regular clothes first."

Maxine left, disappearing as usual. Max went get dressed. On top of that, She went into Kate's room to talk to her. 

Maxine appeared right in to the room, and leaned against the closed door. Kate was devastated however she talked to Max.  She knew that she was drugged and she wanted to go to the police and that's what Max told Kate to do.

 Maxine was silent. She only watched as this talking went on. She didn't dare speak. However she was more fixated on Kate Marsh. She hadn't seen that girl in a while. It's odd to see her again after so long. Along with Chloe Price. Memories of Maxine's time with them flooded her mind however her expression remained indifferent. 

She missed Kate. She missed Chloe Price. two of the many girlfriends by her side. However being the Lord of Time is no joke. So many deaths by destroying timelines, so many timelines branching off. One could say it's exhausting however not to Max. She was not human anymore. She didn't consider herself human anymore after she stopped aging and became...Ageless.

Only thing she consider herself to be was a Creature - something that had managed to become the Lord of Time.
