"Mashallah princess.. you are just looking like the moon.."

Says one of my maids who are busy dressing me.

I didn't even think it's necessary to say thank you because I am getting dressed for my own forced engagement.

"Thank you.."

I still mumble quietly as a princess it isn't polite not replying back to a compliment.

Today, again I am just playing the role of being the perfect princess. I am getting engaged to a man who I don't even know or love.
It's my father's decision and they didn't even consider asking my consent.
So basically I don't want to marry any prince, but still I have no choice.

I hate being the princess I am..

I never saw the outside world, I never saw how a market is..or how children play on streets.. it might sound funny but it's the reality.

Looking in the mirror when others see a princess with her perfect and mesmerising looks, sitting wearing an elegant attire and ready to be taken. No doubt I am hidden from public view, my looks and I are secured. But the reflection I see is a girl trying to be the princess everyone expect her to be. I feel suffocated in this attire but I guess my fate it is..

"Zahra! Zahra!"

Comes a loud scream through a sweet voice. It was Sarah, my better half.

"Sarah, you shouldn't call the princess by her name.."

Says, one of my maids

"Oh..come on.. that rule doesn't apply on me.. Zahra is my best friend before being the princess"

She says, entering into my chamber.

And she is absolutely right, she doesn't care I am a princess or not.. I am Zahra, myself to her not the princess.

Sarah was and will always be the only person I will blindly trust on.. that sweet, kind and beautiful girl will always be my best friend.

Ten years ago when I found her and decided to keep her with me, inside the palace was and is the only best decision of my life. But, I admit I am jealous of her because she gets to experience the outside world and freedom not like me who is struck in this huge luxurious palace from birth.

"Hayee!.. Mashallah Zahra!"

Sarah says hugging me from behind.

"You are just looking like an angel, beautiful"

She says again sweetly but I am not able to hear the words when this is the day I'll be bounded to my unwanted marriage.

I just gave her a node with a blank expression and she understood me like always.

"Can you all give us a moment"

I say in a low tone to my maids who nodded and went out of my chamber giving us privacy.
