I can't believe what I just heard. she is the princess of Suez, the Sunni kingdom which is hated by Cario's royalty. Now I understand why she got so upset when I called her a thief.
But still that doesn't explain anything about the birthmark she has, my kingdom was never good with her kingdom.. so we can't have any relation then why do I feel like we are connected somehow?
"And why is Princess Zahra al-Zahiri in Cairo?"
I question and that question is needed to be answered. I can see her taking a long breath and gathering her courage before starting to speak.
She explained how she was caged in her palace and yeah even I know that no one till now, never saw or heard much about the princess of Suez.
But when she says about her forced marriage, I feel my jaw clenching in anger. I don't know why but the thought of her getting married to someone else, and she belonging to someone else is irritating as hell.
My eyes darken as she continues to say how she requested her father to not force her but no one listened to her. That's the reason she and Sarah ran away from Suez. Now they have no where to go.
"Both of us can get caught any second, I don't know how much i will be able to hide from my father."
She says, and I can see how hardly she was holding her tears. My eyes land on the birthmark on her wrist again and then they slowly travel towards her engagement ring which makes a fire ignite in me of irritation.
Faraz was standing there listening to her story and I can feel his eyes getting lost in Sarah before he regains and controls himself.
I walk towards Zahra after eyeing the ring, I don't know what I am doing but the level of annoyance I am getting after the thought of her being hurt, I can't control myself.
I hold her her hand which had the ring on, I can feel her eyes widen at my sudden action but I didn't stop. I held her tight yet gentle when she tries to yank it away.
My eyes are on the ring, I slowly remove it from her hand making sure not to hurt her in anyway. I lift my eyes to her deep brown eyes. My expressions were blank as I look at her.
I can feel Faraz's gaze burning on me, I am sure he wants to stop but I can't help myself.
I lift the ring up and throw it on the ground harshly making sure It will hit the ground and it did shatter into many pieces.
Sarah slightly flinches at my action, and Faraz noticing it offers her water.
"What are you doing, Azhaar?"
Faraz questions but I ignore him and I am still looking in Zahra's eyes.
I am lost in them. I can't let her be anyone's else, neither in this life nor in hundred others. I want to know the reason why she is affecting me and I gather my confidence before saying the words.
