The Merriment

Chapter Four

The mirrored humans — more respectably labeled, mimics, were lurking around every corner. Twix, KitKat and Fin had all lost eachother in the darkness.

Twix had stopped running after a while, huffing as she tried to catch her breath. She let out a sigh as she continued to walk, everything being too quiet for comfort. Fin was still running, overly terrified as a mimic was chasing her earlier. KitKat had stopped running a long time ago, since she hadn't seen a mimic in a while as she continued to walk unknowingly in a circle.

Suddenly, Twix, Fin and KitKat all found eachother in a dark room.
"...Fin?" KitKat muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
"KitKat?" Twix peeped, holding her breath.
"Twix....?" Fin shrieked quietly.

It was sure them three, alright. They all approached eachother. As Twix got closer to the two, she scoffed as she spoke mockingly, "Let's all go on an adventure today, shall we? Oh, that'd be so fun! So, so fun! It's not like something like this SHIT happens every single time, yet we still keep going, right?! Am I right?!"

KitKat and Fin stood awkwardly, listening to Twix's harsh tone as she scolded them. When Fin or KitKat tried to speak up, Twix would yell over them again, her tone becoming more nagging each time.
Suddenly—
"Twix, behind you!" Fin exclaimed as a mimic approached Twix.

All of them scurried away once again, now lost, the only thing they remember was Twix's scolding.

Fin found a control lever and they pressed it.

Huh. Weird. Fin continued to walk, occasionally hearing footsteps or the damp carpeted floor rustling.

KitKat used her flashlight she packed, checking around corners. She kept seeing things in the corners of her eyes, but she ignored it, determined to find a way out. She found a lever, and hesitantly pulled it.

KitKat groaned.
"Five levers..?"
