The discomfort of being in a police station is something that remains unchanged for Pico. And it is unlikely to change.
The only thing that calmed him down was the fact that he would "for show" with Vivian and then leave. But it is not that simple.
"Look, the situation is..." She left the documents and, crossing her arms, briefly explained the situation.
"Your... friend? Or whoever he is to you. He was transferred to that city. So, get going and go get him."
Pico became slightly worried, assuming that he was most likely in her hands again.
"So, is he now in that boarding school, right?" Vivian was surprised by his concern.
"Any problems?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No... I just... Well... Jessica." Pico scratched the back of his head nervously. "Some problems may arise. I doubt she will give the little one away so easily."
Vivian sighed heavily and immediately changed her plans. "Okay, that's not my problem anymore. Come back for him when we're done with that case."
Pico looked at her with a sly smile. "That's actually YOUR problem too." Vivian didn't understand where he was going with this, but he continued.
"A deal is a deal. We agreed that I'd help you if Boyfriend stay with me. So, either you help me or the deal's off."
His confidence was blinding, and it really pissed Vivian off.
"You want to go to jail, huh? Do you need me to remind you why you're still free?" Vivian's threats were empty words, because now Pico had seized the initiative.
"If you really want to sit in the same cell with me, go ahead. Or maybe you'll be the only one there, who will." Pico smiled so nastily, crushing her with his gaze. Vivian instinctively began to panic, feeling like she was losing control of the situation.
"What!? What are you talking about?"
Pico stood up from his chair to lean on the table. He pressed her mercilessly.
"You should have known what kind of shit you were getting yourself into. With your personal desires, you've dragged yourself into such a shit that you'll never be able to wash yourself off in your life."
Pico leaned even closer to her, so much so that Vivian pressed herself against the chair.
"Tell me, what will happen if everyone finds out about how you're using a person for personal gain, and threatening him on top of that?"
The feeling of hatred overwhelmed her, but he was right. Vivian should have realized this even before she proposed the deal.
"So, what now? Will we hold on to dirt and blackmail each other?" She snorted. To which he responded in kind.
"I have a better idea than shitting on our lives. I think you have more important things to do." He removed his gaze and sat back down on the chair.
"First thing I do is go get him, and then everything else. And if I have problems, you'll help me. Any objections?"
Vivian thought for a moment before asking. "I hope you won't show me any tricks and tell me about that day, what we agreed on."
Pico walked up to the door, and before opening it, he looked into Vivian's eyes.
"If you don't do same kind of shit. My words have never been empty."
Having finally left the station, Pico got into his car and went to pick up Boyfriend.
