School Supply Shopping

Your POV:

It's been about a week since you got the letter saying you were accepted into the nursing school. You and Neil are both off today so you're going to be going to a local store to buy everything you'll need for school. You had already ordered your books online as well as a new backpack and they will be arriving in the next couple days.
You sit at the table while Neil cooks breakfast and you talk while he cooks. Once the food is done he plates it and puts it all on the table. You talk while you eat and when you're done eating you wash the dishes. You both then shower and get ready for the day. Once you're ready you grab your purse and throw your phone in it and Neil grabs his wallet. You then head out to his car Neil locking the door behind him. Neil opens the passenger door for you then shuts it and gets in on the drivers side. Once you're both buckled he starts driving to the store. When you get there he gets out and opens your door for you then shuts it and locks the car. You then go into the store Neil holding the door open for you. You spend the next 30 minutes searching for everything on your list. You get regular pencils, mechanical pencils, blue, red, and black pens, highlighters, erasers, pencil lead, folders, notebooks, and binders. You also get a scientific calculator, an electric pencil sharpener as well as some mini manual ones, white out in case you make any mistakes with a pen, and a flash drive just in case you need one. Neil insists on paying for everything even though you say you can pay. After you check out you go back out to Neil's car. He opens the passenger door for you then shuts it and gets in on the drivers side after putting all the supplies in the trunk. Once you're both buckled Neil starts driving again. You notice he's not taking you back home so you look at him.
"Babe where are we going?" You ask.
"It's a surprise doll." Neil says.
Soon you're pulling up to a nearby tech store that sells phones, tablets, and laptops.
"Neil what are we doing here?" You ask.
"I'm getting my princess a new laptop for school." Neil says.
"Neil you really don't have to do this." You say.
"I know but I want to." He says.
He gets out and opens your door for you then shuts it and locks the car. You both then go inside the store and Neil goes up to a worker.
"Hi I was wondering what's the best laptop here for school work?" He asks.
"Ah that would be this one it's very portable." The worker says pointing to a laptop that is basically a tablet that has a clip on keyboard.
"Ok I'll take it and what case would you recommend?" He asks.
The worker shows him.
"Ok baby pick what colors you want." Neil says.
You pick the colors you want and Neil pays for the laptop and carrying case. You both then head back to the car. Neil opens the passenger door for you then  shuts it and gets in on the drivers side.
"Baby you really didn't have to do that." You say.
"Of course I did you need a good laptop to do your schoolwork on." He says.
"I have a laptop." You say.
"Yeah but that thing is ancient." Neil says chuckling.
He has a point it was from when you were just starting high school.
"Fair enough." You say.
"What do you want to do for dinner love?" Neil asks.
"Well since you spent so much money today I was thinking I'll cook dinner. We have plenty of food in the fridge." You say.
Neil nods.
"Fine by me I love your cooking. I wouldn't have minded spending more money on takeout though if that's what you wanted or if you didn't feel like cooking." He says.
"Thanks babe but I'm good." You say.
"I love you." He says and squeezes your hand.
"I love you too. So much." You say squeezing his hand back.
You buckle up then Neil starts driving back to the house. Once you get there he gets out and opens your door for you then grabs everything from the trunk while you get your new laptop. He then locks the car and unlocks the door to the house and you go inside. You and Neil then watch some tv for a bit then you start dinner. You decide to make spaghetti and meatballs. You make the sauce from scratch as well as the meatballs. You also make some homemade garlic bread. Once everything is done you call Neil into the kitchen to eat.
"Wow babe this looks incredible." He says.
"Awww thanks I just wanted to show my appreciation of what you did for me today." You say.
"I love you so much you know that?" Neil says cupping your cheek.
"I love you too." You say and give him a sweet kiss. You both sit down and when Neil takes his first bite he moans.
"Oh my god babe you've outdone yourself. This is incredible." He says.
"Thanks baby I'm glad you like it." You say.
You talk as you eat and when you're both done eating you wash the dishes and clean up the kitchen.
You then snuggle up on the couch with Neil and watch a couple movies before you decide it's time for bed. You get ready for bed and once you're ready you give Neil a kiss then cuddle up with him in bed laying your head on his chest. You sigh in content as you listen to the sound of his heartbeat which calms you.
"Goodnight doll I love you so much." Neil says.
"Goodnight handsome I love you so much too." You say.
You both then soon fall asleep in each others arms happy and content.
