Jackie grabbed her things and quickly left her apartment. After getting settled into her car, she began driving and heading toward ABdlr. Though it felt weird to be in a store that catered to a niche community, it was better than trying to order online and then having to wait for her diapers to arrive.

Again, the drive took only around 10 minutes. When she pulled in, she quickly but carefully parked her car next to the entrance. She grabbed what she needed including her purse, and then after getting out of her car, she walked inside the store nonchalantly. She didn't want to attract attention to the fact that she was essentially going into a diaper store for adults.

Walking up and down to find the diapers she had bought previously, she glanced at the entrance at the sound of the doorbell that rang. Jackie noticed a man walking in. He carried a cane for blind people but was uncharacteristically able to navigate the pathways and aisles easily. Initially, she paid very little attention to him as she resumed her search.

About five minutes later, she had found what she was searching for. She was unaware that the man she noticed walking into the place was to her right. Without warning, they had bumped into each other hard. "Oww!" She yelled, and as she was about to yell at him angrily for bumping into her, she quickly realized it was the blind man customer that entered the store not more than a few minutes ago. "Oh, my goodness! I'm so sorry!" He quickly apologized as he reached out his hand toward her as she had fallen to the floor.

After the moment of anger passed, she looked up at him. She didn't know why, but there was something about him that she felt sincerity from. She reached for his hand, and while he helped her up from the floor, she couldn't help but gaze into his only eye. "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't see you on my left." He explained to her and apologized again. She noticed his calm demeanor, and what impressed her was his manners.

"Oh, uh-" Jackie held her head slightly trying to reorient herself, "I guess I just hadn't been paying attention!" She chuckled a bit, trying to play it off like it didn't bother her. Almost without thinking, she looked at him from his feet all of the way to his head. She tried desperately to not mentally undress him in her mind.

"Happens to the best of us." He slightly chuckled as well while smiling at her as he hoped it would ease the tension. She smiled at him while she felt a slight flutter in her heart. "I'm Jack, by the way." Jack extended his hand to shake hers. Jackie shook his hand reciprocally, "Nice to meet you, I'm Jackie!" She was delighted to meet such a polite man. "Nice to meet you as well." He said in return.

Normally, Jack wouldn't bother with anybody, always assuming things about women that he met. Thoughts like Maybe she is just being polite. Or she's probably got a boyfriend. He was about to turn around and continue to shop, but her smile kept him from leaving her. Though he wanted desperately to avoid using old clichés and outdated so-called "pick-up" lines, he knew he needed to say something. He noticed the diapers she had reached for and decided that was a good conversation starter.

"Are those for yourself or someone you love?" Jack asked her hesitantly. He was afraid she might misinterpret his inquiry. Jackie looked around trying to figure out what he was referring to, and then it dawned on her. Duh! Her mind said to her.

As she held the pack of diapers in her arm, she looked at them and then at him. "Uh, they're for me." She felt a little uncomfortable saying it out loud, but she remembered that she needed to be brave. That acknowledging it even by her answer is a step toward being honest with herself.

Jack felt her uncomfortableness, "I understand if you don't want to discuss it in such a public venue, but do you wear them for legitimate reasons or just for fun?" Jack naturally and patiently waited for her response. "Um, kind of for legitimate reasons at the moment." She paused for a moment to consider whether she wanted to say anything about what those reasons were. "It's a little embarrassing!" she slightly giggled, "I've been having multiple bedwetting incidents, and rather than having to do tons of laundry, I figured that wearing diapers is the best way to solve that problem, at least temporarily." Jackie was unsure as to why she felt so at ease telling some random man about her personal and rather private problem, but him being in the ABdlr store helped her to feel a bit more willing to be open about it.
