Two months later, Jack and Jackie made the big decision to move into a new place together. They worked out a plan to do exactly that, but because both of them were in a lease at their respective apartments, both were unable to just drop everything to pack up and move immediately.
One of the new rules Jackie proposed was that Jack was no longer allowed to spend money on unnecessary purchases. He counter-proposed that she do the same in return. They both realized that the new rules about spending their money had to be enforced equally. Jackie had an epiphany on what to do.
They both were sitting at her dining area table discussing solutions to that problem. "So, I had a thought." Jackie broke the silence between them. "What if we were to hire somebody to be a caregiver for the both of us?" She asked looking at Jack for any sign that showed he was either interested or disinterested in the idea. Jack carefully weighed it in his mind, but even he had to admit that the idea had merit.
"Well, if we do that..." he paused briefly, "We'd have to make sure that whoever we chose was accepting of our lifestyle!" He looked at Jackie right in her eyes, hoping she would understand what he had referred to. "Yeah, you got a point." She replied. "But I think it'd be worth it if we want to not only save money, but to also keep each other from breaking the rules." Jackie concluded while still having deep thoughts about having a nanny-type caregiver. "But the caregiver does need to be a woman!" Jackie added, watching Jack carefully to see what his reaction would be.
Jack nodded in agreement, "I don't have any objections to that." He said aloud.
Smiling widely, Jackie was delighted that they had agreed on that idea. "I'll leave it to you to hire that person. Just make sure that this new caregiver is ABDL-friendly and aware." He nodded to her, and she acknowledged it by returning the nod.
Jack and Jackie both believed the matter had been settled amicably as they arose from their respective seats and tended to their tasks. Jackie didn't want to waste time as she whipped out her smartphone to begin looking for ABDL nannies and/or caregivers. To her dismay and disappointment, full-time ABDL nannies and caregivers were extremely expensive. More than either Jack or Jackie could afford with their limited fixed incomes. She sighed, not wanting to tell Jack what she found out.
Jackie decided to just check in on the matter periodically between the time they decided on a mutual caregiver, and when they would eventually move into a house together. She even sat down with Jack one night and worked out a budget that worked for them both to avoid as much unnecessary spending as possible, leaving only a minimal amount of money to have at their discretion. So, now, hiring anybody to be a caregiver was not within their budget.
A week later, Jack was sitting in the living room watching TV quietly. As he sat in the recliner of Jackie's apartment living room, he comfortably watched a favorite TV show from his childhood on one of the streaming platforms, Paramount+. The leg rest was up all the way to let his legs rest up on it with ease. The day had been going well for him with no appointments with doctors, no errands to run, and his girlfriend was out and about doing some shopping. She said she'd be out with a friend, but I don't recall who she said she was going to be shopping with. He thought to himself but didn't give it any further thought.
An hour later, he noticed she hadn't returned home yet. Technically, he wasn't on her lease, so any knock on the door from anybody other than her should be ignored by Jack as he continued watching his favorite television show. Eventually, though, somebody did knock on the door. "Who is it?" Jack asked aloud, but without yelling it. "It's me, Jackie!" Without hesitation, Jack got out of the recliner and unlocked the front door to her apartment, and then sat back down in the recliner to resume his comfortable position.
