Marked

Sebastian was walking to their car from school. As they did they were stopped by one of the kids in the hallway.

“Hey, you have one of those markings on your face,” The kid said, with some hand motions.

“Huh?” Sebastian said, taking out a small makeup pallet mirror. The makeup pallet didn't have makeup in it, Sebastian didn't really use makeup, they had just stolen the pallet from their friend, for the mirror. They saw a pair of small wings, encased in a circle, and swirls that made a design coming off on the two sides of it. It was a black, like an actual tattoo.

Sebastian's eyes immediately widened. How did this happen? Does this mean that they were moving schools? Does this mean everything was going to change?

Sebastian covered their forehead with their hand, putting the small blush case away. They snatched a hat from the kid who stopped them, and put it on their head, hiding the markings.

“Whatever, I didn't want that hat anyway,” The kid said, sarcastically, then they walked away.

Sebastian hurried down the hallway, getting into the parking lot, and speed walking to their car. They hopped in. They then took the hat off, and brought the sun blocker down, opening the small flip door in the back, to see the mirror.

Sebastian stared at the new tattoo on their face. They were not gonna be able to just push this away, especially with the no hats in school. Nothing was going to be the same ever again.
I'm
Sebastian sighed, grabbing the wheel, and turning on their car. They pulled out and started driving down the road. Keeping their focus on the road they set their phone on the magnet that was on the dashboard.

Sebastian tapped the screen on the phone, guessing where the call button was. They were going by memory when they started tapping the screen to punch in numbers. Eventually they figured it out.

After a couple rings a voice came into the phone. “Hello,” the voice said.

“Hey Bonnie, did you know today ended up being a wave of people getting marked?” Sebastian said.

“Uh, How- did… you know that,” Bonnie said, sounding a bit nervous.

“Uh… I got marked,” Sebastian blurted.

“Uh-oh, OH,” Bonnie said, obviously hitting her. “You too,” Bonnie added.

“OH,” Sebastian said, almost taking their eyes off the road, but managed to keep them on the road.

“Well then, everything is gonna change isn't it?” Bonnie said,” At least we're together then, I thought you didn't get one.”

“Yeah, I thought you didn't get one too,” Sebastian said,” So, I guess everything changing isn't that bad.”

“I guess so, still everything changing, is quite scary,” Bonnie said, her voice coming back.

“Yeah, I know,” Sebastian said.

“Why don't we meet somewhere soon, so we can digest this,” Bonnie said.

“Ok, call you later then?” Sebastian said, in a questioning tone.

“Sure, Bye,” Bonnie said.

“Bye,” Sebastian said, hearing the phone disconnect from the call.

Sebastian sighed, the air seemed thicker, as they're heart thumped. The golden sun shone, like almost everyday, and the sky was blue and clear. Even if it was a beautiful day Sebastian was nervous. They're hands were tight on the smooth steering wheel.

After a couple more minutes. Sebastian pulled into their driveway. The gravel drive way looked the same as before they left. Sebastian parked their car and got out, grabbing their backpack from the passenger seat.
