FLUFF/ANGST

Sanemi Shinazugawa was the kind of math teacher who could make even the most hardcore gamer sweat.
He was strict, no-nonsense, and his glare could make a grown man reconsider his life choices. But don't let that fool you, he actually had a soft spot for girls, kid and old folks.
The guy was a walking contradiction, a total mess, really.
He was a good teacher, though, the kind who could make even the most complex equation seem simple. But his own life? That was a different story.
Sanemi was covered in scars, a map of his past etched across his face and body.
It was a story of a childhood accident, a tragedy that had taken his parents and siblings, leaving only him and his little brother, Genya, to pick up the pieces.
The accident had left him with nightmares that haunted his sleep, turning his nights into a living hell. It had also given him anemia, a physical reminder of the emotional turmoil he couldn't escape.
No one knew the real story, though. People whispered about him, saying he was a former gangster, a bad boy who had gone straight. They were wrong, of course. The truth was far more painful, far more personal.
But everything changed when he met someone.
Someone he hated the most. But who thought the person he was annoyed by would become his boyfriend?
Who thought the guy he was constantly butting heads with would be the one to change his totally messed-up life?
He never thought the guy who irritated him every single time would be the same person he wanted to see every second.
Giyuu Tomioka, a P.E. teacher.
Word got around about Giyuu and Sanemi, and let's just say, people weren't exactly thrilled. It was like, "Whoa, hold up, what's going on here?" People were giving them the side-eye, whispering behind their backs. The whispers started low-key, like, "Did you see them holding hands?" and "Is that even allowed?" Giyuu, always the quiet one, just kinda ignored it. Sanemi, though? He was like, "Yeah, I did, and you know what? I don't care."
People started calling him a sinner, saying it was wrong, blah blah blah. Sanemi's response? "If loving Giyuu makes me a sinner, then I'm the biggest sinner you've ever met."
In the end, they decided to just leave. They resigned, walked out with their heads held high, and were like, "We got each other, and that's all that matters."
They walked hand-in-hand, two dudes who were totally in love, and they didn't give a damn what anyone else thought. They were sinners, yeah, but they were sinners who were happy, and that's what really counted.
Though they resigned as teachers, hoping for a happy ending, they didn't get one.
Maybe it's because they're sinners, and sinners don't get happy endings.
Sanemi got hit by a car, and now he's stuck in a wheelchair. It's pretty rough.
Their love didn't disappear just because Sanemi was stuck in a wheelchair. It was still there, strong as ever, even if things felt different now.
