A day later I woke up late.
I was up almost all night, I don't really know why, but I was.
I wasn't doing anything in particular, I was just restless.
A few knocks were heard against my bedroom door.
"Are you awake?" Nick asks from outside my door.
"Yeah." I replied, thinking he was telling me that he was leaving again.
"Dia made breakfast." He said, referring to the private chef.
"I'll be down in a few." I responded quietly.
After I had breakfast I was planning on going swimming but Nick and his friends were outside.
Even though Jenna was here, I really didn't want to spend more time with Nick.
He gets so mean and arrogant when he's around his friends.
"Cmon, come swim. We're playing never have I ever." Jenna begged while tugging on my arm.
"Fine." I finally caved which made her jump for joy.
She drug me outside by my arm and I sat right in between her and Lion in the edge of the pool.
"Okay, rules are, if you have, take a shot. If you haven't, don't take a shot, got it?" Jenna said while swinging her feet in the pool.
"I'll start. Never have I ever kissed someone in this circle." Mario speaks, taking a long look at everyone."
I glance at Nick and look away, watching as he takes a shot at the same time as me.
"Never have I ever, had sex in a pool." Jenna giggled, nudging Lions shoulder and they both laughed.
They both took a shot and everyone booed playfully in disgust.
"Never have I ever, gotten drugged at a party." Mario raised his eyebrow as he looked at me.
"Take the shot." He mouthed.
My heart sunk as I reached for the shotglass.
Nick stood up and smacked the shotglass out of my hand and shoved Mario down on the ground.
"What the hell!" I shout while standing up.
Jenna pulled me by my arm, making me sit down.
"Don't talk to Nick while he's mad. He will totally flip out on you." She warned me.
I sat there, with tears in my eyes as Nick punched Mario in the face repeatedly.
I couldn't stand to watch another second of this.
I grabbed my towel and ran inside.
I locked myself in the room for the rest of the day until dinner.
By then I was obviously drunk off of the multiple shots I had taken so I really didn't have an appetite.
I just grabbed an apple and sat at the table with my head spinning.
Nick walked into the dining area and sat across from me.
"I know you were trying to protect me, but violence isn't the right answer." I say, my words slurring.
"I don't know what you're talking about Noah. You're drunk, so you don't even know what you're talking about." He took the uneaten apple from my hand and walked into the kitchen.
I was confused until he brought out the apple sliced up on a plate.
"Why are you treating me like a baby?" I say as he slides the plate infront of me.
"I still don't know what you're talking about." He smirked, his eyebrows raising.
"First beating up Mario over a game, now you're cutting up my apple. What's next? Are you going to tuck me in tonight and read to me?"
"If you insist." He smiled with his teeth, walking out of the dining area.
After I ate my apple slices I attempted to go up to my room but my legs buckled beneath me, almost sending me down the stairs.
Nick came up behind me and helped me balance myself in my feet.
He took my arm around his shoulders and led me up to my room.
He put me in my bed and turned off the light, sitting on the edge of the bed and picking up my book from the nightstand.
"No, you're not reading to me. I know how to read."
Nick laughed to myself as he opened the book to the page I left off on.
"You insisted. Don't complain now."
