"Yn's POV"
Just as I was prepared to loose myself in the moment the door bell rang, its sound slicing through the air like a sharp blade, shattering the fragile moment we had shared. My heart sank, and an icy wave of uncertainty washed over me. Who could it be? Panic surged within me as I felt the warmth of our connection evaporate, replaced by a cold knot of anxiety in my stomach. I couldn't let anyone see me like this, not after everything that had just happened between us.
I scrambled off the table, feeling the heat of embarrassment flooding my cheeks. I grabbed the oversized shirt Jungkook had lent me, still warm from his body, and hurriedly made my way up the stairs. As I rushed past him, I caught a glimpse of his expression—wide-eyed and startled, as if the doorbell had jolted him from a moment of deep thought. His gaze flickered between the door and me, confusion and surprise etched across his face, mirroring the turmoil brewing inside me.
Each step felt heavier than the last, my mind a chaotic mess of confusion and frustration. Why had I allowed myself to get lost in the moment with him? Why didn't I stop things before they escalated? The weight of my choices pressed down on me, and I felt tears prick at the corners of my eyes as I reached his room. I couldn't believe I had once again given in to my desires, letting them take the lead while I stood helplessly by.
Once I arrived at his room, I closed the door behind me, leaning against it for a moment to collect my thoughts. But the moment was fleeting. Tears streamed down my face as I sank to the floor, overwhelmed by a mix of shame and confusion. "Why did I not stop him?" I cursed myself, feeling utterly defeated. I had let my emotions carry me away, and now I was paying the price.
In a desperate attempt to regain some composure, I pushed myself off the floor and made my way to the washroom. I needed a moment to breathe, to wash away the evidence of my tears. As I stood in front of the sink, I splashed cold water on my face, the chill jolting me back to reality. I stared at my reflection, my eyes red and puffy, and it struck me how vulnerable I felt. I needed to hide that vulnerability, to shield myself from the embarrassment of what had just unfolded.
As I stood there, a nagging thought crept into my mind again: how had I ended up at Jungkook's place? My memory of the night before was hazy at best. All I remembered was being at the party, feeling alone among a sea of people. I had gone there by myself, trying to enjoy the night despite the crowd. But how had I ended up in his room this morning? The unanswered questions swirled in my head, intensifying the confusion that clouded my thoughts.
After taking a moment to gather my thoughts, I returned to his room, realizing I needed to change into something more appropriate. I glanced around but found no sign of my own clothes. Panic rose within me as I realized I had no choice but to rummage through Jungkook's closet. I felt a mix of frustration and shame as I opened the door to his closet, desperately searching for something that would help me feel more put together.
Rummaging through his clothes, I felt the fabric slide through my fingers, each piece a reminder of the intimacy we had shared. Finally, my fingers brushed against a pair of sweatpants tucked away in the corner. They were simple and comfortable, but they didn't provide the sense of security I desperately sought. I pulled them out and quickly slipped them on, hoping the fabric would somehow shield me from the embarrassment of the situation.
After changing, I glanced at myself in the mirror, my reflection revealing a girl filled with uncertainty. My hair was messy, and my eyes were wide with a mix of confusion and anxiety. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. I couldn't let this moment define me. I needed to pull myself together before facing whatever awaited me downstairs.
With one last look in the mirror, I smoothed my hair and took a moment to compose myself. I couldn't hide in his room forever; I had to confront the reality of the situation. I opened the door and made my way back toward the staircase, my heart pounding with each step. The muffled sounds from downstairs felt like a distant echo, yet they grew louder as I approached, filling me with a mix of dread and anticipation.
