Applejack sighed before walking into her second period class. She didn't enjoy this class that much, though she did like the teacher; the course was boring to her. This was history class to be specific. She walked over to her original seat on the second row at the right hand corner by the square window. She sat there and looked around, waiting for the bell to ring so class could start. Whilst doing that, she saw Lightning Dust come into the door. She had second period with her and that was it. She pursed her lips together and looked away from her. Lightning Dust usually sat behind her and spoke to her like they were friends. Applejack never confirmed that they were, not that she didn't mind being friends with her. Though a part of her also thought her behavior towards her was suspicious.
"Hey Applejack." Lightning Dust as she came over towards Applejack to sit down in her seat.
Applejack pulled a small smile, "Hey."
"So how was you and Rainbow's little conversation yesterday?" Lightning Dust asked. Applejack turned around and tried to read her face, but unfortunately she couldn't. The question was out of the blue and she obviously had a reason of asking that.
"Uhh it was..okay I guess? We weren't really talking about anything." Applejack answered, completely ignoring the fact that their lips weren't that far a part; thinking about it gave Applejack butterflies
"Yeah, right." Lightning Dust mumbled. Applejack heard her and raised an eyebrow. She decided to ask her about it and play dumb to see what she would say.
"What was that?"
"Nothing." Lightning Dust said, turning around to face Applejack and gave her a 'friendly' smile. Applejack turned around, rolled her eyes and shook her head. The bell had finally rang for second period to start. The teacher started talking, mostly yapping about the homework that they had got from the teacher last class. Applejack had already did it, so there was no point in her listen to what he had to say. Applejack rested her head in her hand while her elbow was resting on the wooden desk and zoned out; mostly thinking about a certain Rainbow haired girl. She didn't know why she couldn't stop thinking about her. This was only her second day at school, no way she would like someone that fast. Was it possible?
Applejack's train of thought was interrupted because she heard someone trying to get her attention.
"Psst," She heard. Applejack slightly looked up and looked around to find where the noise was coming from.
"Over here, silly." The voice said once again; it came from beside her on her right. She looked to her right and seen a girl with Pink skin, pink hair, well...pink everything pretty much; except for her eyes which were blue. She was looking at her with a slight grin on her face.
"Hey! Are you new? I never seen you before." She whispered. The teacher was still talking and they tried not to be too loud. There was another conversation going on in the back of the classroom, but the teacher was too focused on the previous topic to notice.
"Yes, I'm new. My name's Applejack." Applejack said, giving the girl a warm smile. She definitely felt way different and more comfortable talking to this person.
"That's cool, I'm Pinkie Pie." The girl sitting next to Applejack replied. "Are you Rainbow Dash's girlfriend?"
Applejack's eyes widened at the question and she started blushing slightly. What made her ask that? Instead of zoning out, she quickly answered the question she was being asked.
"No! W-What made you ask me that?" Applejack said rapidly.
"Well, I saw you two by the lockers and it looked like you two were about to kiss; that was until the bell rang. Since I have a class with you, I decided to ask." Pinkie said. Applejack fidgeted with her fingers and looked at them instead of making eye contact with Pinkie. She was still blushing.
