James steps back inside to answer the phone
"hello?"
"James it's Kristy"
"Oh hi are you here already I was just having a smoke with grandma"
"Yes I'm outside be quick because the engine is running"
James steps back onto the balcony to say goodbye to his grandma,she walks him to the door and kisses his cheek on both sides then hugs him and hands him some money.
"Honestly grandma I don't need your money I've got enough already"
Oh don't be daft sweetheart it's for you"
He takes the money and thanks her then waves her goodbye and walks towards the car
James opens the door to see his sister Kristy staring at him looking at him with a shocked expression
"What's wrong why are you looking at me like that?"
"Since when do you have a beard now ?"
"Since I decided to stop shaving and grow my beard out I don't know what you want me to say it's not magic is it mate"
"Don't be arrogant James it really doesn't suit you"
"So how is grandma I've not seen her since like forever"
"Basically the same to be honest apart from her hair it's gone a lot more grey now"
"Did she ask about me or anything?"
"No she didn't say anything she just asked me if I wanted a coffee and if I had eaten"
"Well did she make you anything to eat because we're about to go for dinner you'll have lost your appetite"
"Well that's why I told her I'm not hungry"
"She did give me a cigarette though"

"You need to stop smoking it's disgusting just vape instead If you must"
"Okay well you know I've been smoking cigarettes since I was younger"
"You stink of cigarettes too James it's disgusting"
"You literally used to see grandma nearly every day Kristy,don't pretend the smell of cigarettes bothers you"
She rolls her eyes and changes the subject
"Okay well I need to get some more petrol so I'll get you a vape if you want just don't tell anybody I'm giving this to you,I'd rather see you vape than smoke"
"Quickly because I need to pull into the petrol station any second now so make up your mind"
"Uhhhhh"
"QUICKLY!"
"STOP FUCKING SHOUTING!"
" You nearly popped my ear drums doing that what the fuck is wrong with you"
"Just pick a flavour or forget it"
"Cherry, please... if they have it"
"And if they don't?"

"You decide what flavour then if they don't have it"
"Right I'll be back in a minute"

He says to Kristy sarcastic and mockingly as she closes the door and begins to fill the car with petrol before heading inside to pay and get them both a vape.
