You were a classmates of Jack's and born deaf. The best way you could communicate was through sign language.
So imagine how hard it was when you came across the Autobots and you couldn't hear them talking.
Thank god Jack was there and signed everything. 'It's okay! They're good! They're the Auto Bots.'
You tilted your head and looked at all the aliens with bright blue optics and kind faces.
After some time easing into their hospitality, you found yourself hanging out with them every day, especially Bumblebee. You felt like you and Bee especially bonded because since his voice box was damaged and he couldn't talk, so you were happy someone was able to kind of understand.
You would occasionally show Bee sign language so he could talk to you. In return, he would basically hover over you and make sure you were safe from any of the bots stepping on you or objects falling on you.
One day, you saw Bee in his alt for waiting for you and Raf outside of school. You were walking with Raf before seeing your mom pull up behind Bee, basically falling out of the car and running to you.
You raised an eyebrow and started signing to her, 'What are you doing?'
'Come with me!' She slowed down her hands so you could read them. 'Hearing aids are ready!'
You smiled wide at your mom before hugging her. Raf tilted his head to you two. He went to say something - probably ask what's going on - and your mom answered back.
( Or so you think? )
You followed your mom to her car, your fingers brushing against the side of Bee to say goodbye to him, and you and your mom drove to the hospital.
You were given a pair of hearing aids, and cried hearing your mom say your name for the first time.
You were so ready to show the team and Bumblebee.
Later that day, you texted Jack to get you and asked him to pick you up. He pulled up later, "driving" Arcee, and handed you a helmet. You carefully pulled it on, being weary of your hearing aids. "Everything okay?" Jack asked you through his hands.
You signed back that you had an announcement and wanted to share with everyone.
Arcee brought you two back to the Autobot base, where Bee happily greeted you. You heard him beeping, chirping, and whirling happily at you while he was signing, 'I missed you today! Where did you and your human mom go?'
You stared at him and began crying. Bee started making worried noises and knelt down to you, closing his face plate to you. You wiped your tears and started signing, 'Bee... I got hearing aids. I can hear everything.'
His optics widened when you pulled some of your hair up and showed him the hearing aids. He got excited and his wings on his back fluttered in excitement as you listened to them moving and his happy chirping.
"What's going on?" You heard a feminine voice speaking. You looked over and saw Arcee looking at Raf.
"Y/N got hearing aids." Raf exhaled a breath. "I've been holding that secret in ALL afternoon."
'Why?' You signed at Raf.
"Your mom asked me too."
You then saw Bee offer his cervo to you. You climbed into his palm carefully and sat yourself down on the cold metal as he raised you from the ground. He chirped happily more as he brought you to his faceplate and nuzzled against you, making you smile nonstop.
Throughout the next few days, you hung out with the Autobots and admired all the sounds. Sometimes it became overwhelming for you and you couldn't help but cry or run out of the area. Bee especially made sure you heard his chirps and beeps. You then recognized the code he was buzzing in and was able to start responding to him in sign.
