You were Sari's best friend. Quiet. Reserved. More serious than fun. Questioned everything and anything Sari did.
Which was why your main question was how the hell you two became best friends?
Especially after Sari told you about the Autobots and their hideout. Even bringing you to it.
The Autobots were mad at Sari for spilling the beans about them, but she told them to get over it and showed you around the hideout. You were most impressed with the medic bay, and Ratchet's set up on everything.
You also found yourself hanging out with the Autobots sometimes, especially Ratchet. You found him interesting - then again, you were also interested in becoming a surgeon. When you would fix something meticulous for Sari - or even any of the Autobots - they always complimented the steadiness of your hands.
That was how your summer went. Then school started. You knew Sari was home schooled and you went to public school, so it was hard to see her during the day.
It got even harder when you were diagnosed with cancer. A rare type as well. In fact, none of the doctors in Detroit could help with cancer treatments - your family and you were forced to move to another city that did help with the cancer treatments you needed.
After about ten years of fighting cancer and doing physical therapy, you were at 100 percent.
Okay, maybe more so 90 percent.
Why a ten-percent drop?
Because the cancer and the treatment took away the stability your hands used to have.
You were depressed that your dreams of becoming a surgeon were gone. You could never be a surgeon with shaky hands. Never.
In fact, the summer after graduating high school, your parents did a surprise visit back to Detroit and you were able to reunite with a grown up Sari. Surprisingly, she was more calm and her eye color changed.
Then she explained how she's actually half Cybertronian and half human. Which made sense considering her dad didn't have a baby mama and was a scientist.
Sari brought you to the Autobot base and you were able to catch up with the Bots again, especially Ratchet.
Though you could no longer be a surgeon, you still studied medical books and anatomy so you could become a doctor. Maybe pediatrics? Who knows? Not you for now.
One day while Sari and the Autobots were out, you were hanging out at the base with Ratchet, reading one of the medical journals you brought with.
"Whatcha reading now?" Ratchet asked, walking over while wiping his hands with a giant cloth.
"A medical journal," you sighed, turning the page. You rubbed your temples, taking in a deep breath from your developing headache.
"You okay?" Ratchet asked. "We have working water. Need some, kid?"
"No thank you..." you shook your head and put your sunglasses on, dimming the lighting of the room as you continued reading the journal.
Ratchet gave you a concerned look before walking away.
The headache was a constant thing for the next few days, but you didn't let the Autobots nor Sari know about them. Hell, Sari didn't know you had cancer and that's why you moved.
And you intended to keep it that way.
Until one day you were hanging out with the Autobots and Sari at the base. Sari was reading a teen magazine while you were reading a medical journal, your vision hazy sometimes.
