Xichen finally stood in front of Jinghai Omega Academy, the prestigious institution that the omega at The Eclipse had mentioned. He had gone to the club the previous night, hoping to gather some information about the omega who had piqued Wei Wuxian's interest and had met with a few people to ask about the omega.

"Those omegas?" the beta bartender had asked. "Sir, they come every beginning of the month, and I'm usually the one serving them. The omegas workers here might know more they talk a lot."

"Lan Wangji, that's his name," an omega worker at the club had revealed. "Gege is all of our inspiration. No one dares mess with the omegas from the academy." she said looking at Xichen up and down.

Xichen had perked up at the mention of the academy. "Which academy?" he asked, but she hesitated, letting out a long sigh.

Sensing the need for persuasion, Xichen took out some money from his wallet and said "I guess this will help...."

The omega's eyes lit up as she immediately took it with a bright smile. "Jinghai Omega Academy," she whispered.

And now, at late in the morning, here he was, standing in front of the academy gates.

"Alphas are not allowed inside, sir," the beta security guard said firmly. "Only omegas. Even the beta staff members are limited to just seven. The rest inside are all omegas."

"But I've come to see someone," Xichen explained.

"You can see them after class hours outside the academy grounds," the guard replied.

Thinking quickly, Xichen blurted, "I'm here to inquire about my omega nephew's admission."

The guard seemed to relax at that. "Oh, I thought you were the alpha of a staff member here. You can head to gate number two, where the admission department is."

Xichen thanked the guard and made his way to the second gate, only to be stopped again by another security officer. "Sir, even for admission inquiries, you'll need to be accompanied by an omega....or it must be the child's parent."

"I just want to ask about the programs, fees, and other details. I won't take long," Xichen reassured him.

The guard looked him over, seemingly reconsidering. "Wait here, sir. I'll go ask."

As the guard walked inside, Xichen looked around. The admission department was a small building away from the academy building but in the same compound. He knew his chances of seeing Lan Wangji today were slim. But maybe he could at least get more information. After a few moments, a beta staff member appeared and beckoned him inside through a door closer to the gate.

"Lan Wangji? How old is your nephew?" she asked as they sat down.

"Thirteen," Xichen lied smoothly.

"And how do you know Lan Wangji?" she asked again, her sharp gaze fixed on him.

"My nephew mentioned a few of his friends are attending the academy," Xichen continued, improvising. "He's heard so many great things about the school and is really interested in joining. The academy's reputation has spread to many schools around, you know."

The woman smiled, visibly pleased by his compliments as Xichen kept talking highly of what people say about the academy. "That's wonderful to hear. Here's the admission form sir. You'll need to pay the first month's fees upfront if you decide to proceed."
