Elena's POV
I'm glad to finally leave Mystic Falls, everywhere I look I see my mum and dad. I can't be here any longer. I need a fresh start, new people, new life, new me. Well, here we go.
*****************Time Skip*************
We're finally here and this place is beautiful, it's so different from Mystic Falls. It's better actually. The new house Aunt Jenna and Alaric bought is the most beautiful house I've ever seen.
"Elena! start unpacking your stuff!" Aunt Jenna yells.
I don't feel like responding so I just go to unpacking. Ugh this is going to take all day...

Damon's POV
"Damon! Go outside, you've been in here all day! Your such a disappointment to this family! why can't you just listen to me for once!" My annoying Mom yells
"Fine! But only because I want too!" I yell back.
My mom is so annoying. Why can't she just be like a normal parent and just pretend that I don't live in the house? I don't care what she says. As I walk out of the house I see something that I haven't seen in years. Somebody actually bought the house across the street from us. I decide to walk across the street to introduce myself.
"Hi" A soft voice says
I turn around
"Hey" I turn around and see the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.
"What's your name?" She asks
I'm speechless, but I stay confident
"I'm Damon Salvatore, what's your name?"
"Elena, Elena Gilbert. Nice to meet you Damon." Wow, she's shy. I like that.
"It was really nice to meet you too, are you gonna be going to Lake Rose High?" I as with pure interest.
"Um.. Yeah, I'll be starting my junior year there." She says shyly.
'Beep Beep'
Shit, I have to meet Stefan at the Grille.
"Elena? Would you like to go to the grille with my brother and I?"
"I would love too but I have to finish unpacking..." she says with the cutest grin.
"Okay, if you ever need anything I'm right across the street." I say as I walk away.
"Bye Damon." she smiles
"See ya Elena" I say with my smirk.

Elena's POV
*After the conversation with Damon*
My first day here and I'm being asked to go to the grille with a really hot guy. Could this day get any better?!
"Oh my god, Elena! Who was that?" Aunt Jenna asks me.
"His name is Damon. He lives across the street." I say with the most stupidest grin on my face.
"Well he's pretty good looking, if you ask me" Aunt Jenna says.
I just throw one of the pillows out of the truck at her.
"What was that for?" She smiles
and I just smile back. This is the happiest I've been in a very long time. I think I'm going to like it here.
******Skipping to 12:00am*******
'Tap tap tap'
I hear noises on my window. So I got words my window and I walk into the patio and Damon is standing there, he's in his boxers and a tee shirt while I'm in a plaid pink and blue night shirt and my underwear. Damon cannot stop staring.
"Damon it's midnight. What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I couldn't sleep and you were the first person that came to my mind to talk to. And since I didn't have your number I decided to go to your window." He says with that sexy smirk.
"Do you want to come in?" I ask
"I'm enjoying the view from right here." He says.
I can feel my face getting redder by the minute.
"Damon you should go, we start school tomorrow." I tell him.
"Fine but you better give me your number tomorrow." He laughs
"Okay, bye Damon" I give him the cutest smile I could.
"Bye Elena" He smirks.

Damon and Elena's POV
I can't wait for school to start tomorrow.
