SPOILERS AHEAD
if u don't know basically in the book there's a group in the 60s called the Greasers and the rich preppies called the Socs. (pronounced so-shes)
the greasers are seven boys. there names are Steve, Dally, Two Bit, Darry, Sodapop, Ponyboy, and Johnny
Pony, Soda, and Darry are brothers. Darry oldest, Soda middle, and Pony youngest
basically Pony and Johnny are jumped by one of the Socs named Bob (who had jumped Johnny in the past) and Bob tries to drown Pony in a fountain, but Johnny saves him and stabs Bob, murdering him and after they visit Dally who gives them money and a gun
They run away on a train (and i will spare some details so you can see how gay they actually are) and then hide out in an abandoned church. then Pony bleaches his hair and Johnny cuts his so they aren't recognized. and then THEY LITERALLY CUDDLE OMG and that's the beginning :)
