Chapter Three/in the half: Investigation

“A body has been discovered.”

Those chilling words echoed in your mind endlessly as you stared at the screen, Monokuma's unsettling face leering back at you.

Monokuma - “The body has been located in the ladies' restroom. Remember, if you checked the rules on your Monopad, you would know that boys are prohibited in the ladies' restroom on the second floor. If you break the rules, you'll face punishment. Puhuhu!”

With that, he vanished from the screen, leaving you in a whirlwind of dread.

Without a moment's hesitation, you sprinted out of your room and bolted up the stairs, your heart pounding as you made your way to the location where the body had been found.

(T-this can't be happening! Not now… we were just getting by. Who could it be? Please, not Giyu, not Tanjiro… not the Master.)

Those frantic thoughts raced through your mind, heightening your anxiety with every step.

As you ascended the stairs, the hallway teemed with demons and demon slayers alike, their faces etched with fear and confusion. You pushed through the throng, determination fueling your movements until you finally entered the ladies' restroom.

Your breath caught in your throat as your eyes widened in horror. Blood pooled on the floor, glistening ominously, and as your gaze fell upon the body, tears stung your eyes.

“Sh-shinobu.”

Your voice trembled as you sank to the ground, the sight of her lifeless form shattering your heart into a million pieces.

In the hallway, Tanjiro and Mitsuri wept openly, their sorrow palpable, while the rest of the group stood frozen, their hearts heavy with grief.

But as you rose to your feet, your tears ceased, replaced by a dark, simmering rage that coursed through your veins. You stormed out of the restroom, a fierce determination driving your every step.

Giyu, noticing the sudden shift in your demeanor, reached out to grab your shoulder, but you shrugged off his hand, pushing past him as you marched toward the demons.

You - “One of you did this!”

Your voice rang out, filled with an unyielding fury.

Muzan - “Don't jump to conclusions without any context clues!”

You - “But I know it was one of you! None of us would ever kill another!”

Your anger flared, intensifying with each word.

Akaza - “Our kind? Human, know your place and step back; you'll only cause more trouble.”

Tegan - “Oh no, this is the worst version of her personality—the one I’ve only witnessed once.”

Tanjiro glanced up at you, concern etched on his face.

“I-Is she okay?”

Tegan - “No, not unless someone stops her.”

Tanjiro - “What’s wrong with her?”

Tegan - “She’s in a fit of rage, we call her No Mercy Y/n.”

With that, Tanjiro turned his attention back to you just as you launched a punch at Akaza’s face, igniting chaos.

Akaza stumbled back, a smirk spreading across his face.

“You’re quite the fierce one, aren’t you? But fortunately for you, I don’t fight women.”

You paid him no mind, attempting to strike him again, but he ducked just in time. Giyu rushed forward to restrain you, but you pushed him down, charging at the demons with unrestrained fury.
