In the dimly lit room, you lay in the suffocating darkness, not daring to step outside. Hours passed, and you felt indifferent about the weight of your unspoken ultimatums. The sadness enveloped you like a heavy shroud, rendering you motionless.

You thought to yourself, staring at the cracked floor beneath you, surrounded by the fragments of your life.

You - (This is my existence now, drenched in black… It once had colors, vibrant hues that filled my days, but they faded to grey, then to black and white, and now it’s just a void of darkness. My life has been painted this color, devoid of any light or warmth. It’s as if terrible luck has been my only companion.)

The shards of glass glimmered faintly in the shadows, a reflection of your shattered hopes.

*Ding dong.*

You blinked, your eyes flickering open, yet your body remained still.

*Ding dong.*

You - “Just leave me here to rot.”

The words barely escaped your lips, a mere whisper of a scream.

You - “I’m exhausted… I just want to be left alone. I can’t even tell what day it is anymore.”

With a heavy heart, you closed your eyes once more, seeking solace in the darkness.

Suddenly, the door swung open, flooding the room with a blinding light. You squinted, trying to make out the figure standing in the doorway.

You - “Oh, it’s you. The one who barely speaks.”

Tomioka stepped inside, his presence both comforting and disquieting. He reached out, his hands gentle as he helped you to your feet, treating you like fragile glass.

You - “I already told you I didn’t want to be bothered. Why are you here?”

Tomioka - “Because…”

His voice was soft, almost fragile, mirroring your own weariness. His eyes, like yours, held a depth of exhaustion.

You - “That’s it? Just ‘because’? I want to lie down. I’m tired… How much pain must I endure? This has been my life for as long as I can remember.”

Tears spilled from your eyes, tracing down your cheeks like the remnants of your shattered dreams.

Tomioka watched you silently, unable to find the right words to comfort you.

You curled up on the bed, sobs wracking your body.

Tomioka - “Just don’t give up.”

He sat beside you, gently patting your head, an act both soothing and strangely grounding.

Tomioka - “Crying doesn’t help.”

He tilted his head, observing you with an intensity that made your heart ache.

You - “I know, you idiot! I’m not even crying anymore.”

Your mood shifted abruptly, the cocky spark returning to your voice.

Tomioka let out a sigh of relief.

You - “Why did you sigh like that? What are you trying to do, provoke me or something?”

Tomioka - “No.”

You - “You’ve got some nerve barging into my room. Why wasn’t the door locked?”

Tomioka - “It’s your door. Why wasn’t it locked?”

He raised an eyebrow, challenging you with his calm demeanor.
