𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘Hannah stood in her room, complaining about whether she should do the photo shoot or not. Elena and Jenna were sitting on her bed, still confused about why she was acting so weird. This had been going on for 20 minutes. Yesterday, she wasn't as stressed, but as soon as the sun came up, it had been bothering her.
She wasn't stressed about doing a photo shoot with him; she was stressed that this was basically an underwear company—or you could call it sleepwear. The thought of seeing him in underwear made her stomach flutter. She had almost died when she first saw how big his arms were. What if he looks even better in those shots?
She also started to worry if he would bring up the rumors. That would be an awkward conversation; they barely knew each other. The thought of having to navigate that territory made her stomach churn.
What if he joked about it? What if he genuinely wanted to know her thoughts? Hannah couldn't imagine how that would play out in front of the crew.
"I'm sorry, but I have to admit this," Jenna said, breaking the silence. Hannah and Elena stopped and looked at her expectantly. "I'm so glad it's not me this time. I have to deal with this stress before every project I do."
"Oh yeah, that's totally going to help, Jenna," Hannah replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "But this is different. They want to pull some PR stunt with a guy I barely even know."
"You do know him," Elena chimed in, smiling like she was oblivious to the real issue.
"I know of him, but I don't actually know him," Hannah corrected, growing more frustrated. "You guys are stressing me out even more."
"Honestly, all I can tell you is that after this, you guys probably won't see each other again. It'll die down," Jenna said, trying to comfort her best friend.
"Plus, it's only people we don't know shipping you two."Elena nodded, agreeing.
Hannah let out an awkward laugh, but inside, she knew the truth. It wasn't just random supporters fueling this. It was Elena—and, even worse, Hannah's mom. Lemme repeat, she thought to herself, Elena and her mom. She glanced at Elena, who was smirking, casually crossing her legs like she wasn't a part of the problem.
Jenna, sensing the sudden shift in the mood, looked between the two of them. "Why did it just get so quiet?" She narrowed her eyes at Elena, noticing the smirk. "Elena?"
"Elena?" Jenna repeated, her voice more pointed now, clearly sensing something was off. She leaned forward slightly, studying Elena's face, waiting for her to crack.
Elena shrugged nonchalantly, but the smirk never left her lips. "What?" she said innocently, though her eyes told a different story.
"Elena and my mom have been, let's just say... instigating," Hannah confessed, exasperated.
Elena's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait! Your mom too? I didn't know about that part! So technically, I'm off the hook," she said, raising her hands defensively.
Jenna, too stunned to speak at first, finally let out a small laugh. "Your mom?" She shook her head, giggling. "Well, at least Elena and your mom aren't out there instigating online."
"Exactly, so be appreciative," Elena said with a teasing grin. "Either way, I know you like it."
Hannah scoffed, crossing her arms but unable to hide the small smile creeping onto her face. Deep down, she knew Elena wasn't entirely wrong. "Yeah, right," she muttered, but the half-hearted denial only made Jenna laugh.
