After having breakfast, they left for Murthy Mansion. Reaching their nandu left for her room and manik went to meet sid in the study to discuss the contract for which they came here now that fab 5 weren’t together they wanted to discuss what manik decided to do in future.
“Hey, manik come sit.” Sid said after seeing manik at the door while closing his laptop. Manik came and sat on the chair next to sid.
“Hello bhaiya, I wanted to say that I don’t think I am going to continue singing in future as it was my dream for the whole group not alone so I am thinking I will join dad in the business.”
“that’s a good decision. But you don’t have to stop singing we can work on your solo career in music as I know how much you love music and also, I was thinking to ask nandu to start singing again as you’re back so maybe she will agree to sing with you then we can launch both of you.” Sid suggested and manik also liked the idea.
“Okay, I will have to talk to her first before deciding everything.” Manik said and stood up to leave.
“I am trusting you again this time but please don’t play with her heart and feelings again because this time she wouldn’t be able to handle the pain and I will really kill you for that.” Sid warned him.
“Don’t worry bhaiya I cant live without her too and I know how much she suffered due to my one wrong decision that I still regret and will always regret for life.” Manik said with tears in his eyes. Sid stood up and hugged him as he knew about their love and bond they shared.
Manik left the room and went directly to nandu’s room as he wanted to discuss with her for the solo launch.
Nandini just came out of the washroom after showering and was drying her hair when manik entered the room and his steps haulted seeing nandu in bathrobe and drying her hair. He came closer to her and hugged her from back while nuzzling his head in the crook of her neck.
Nandu was surprised with sudden touch but once she knew who it was she relaxed in his arms and kept her head on his shoulder from the side and said, “what happened manik you seem to be in a good morning since morning?”
“What do you mean? Cant I love you without any reason?” he said while kissing on the back of her earlobe.
“Ofcourse you can but today you are in extra romantic mood.” She said while ruffling his hair.
“I am coming from sid bhai’s room and he wants to launch us together as singing duo together. I think that is a good plan what is your opinion?” manik asked sitting on the bed and making her sit in his lap.
“I think it’s a good idea to do that I would love to sing again with you after so many days.” She smiled ear to ear. They were going to sing together again after 9 months and it made her really happy.
“So its decided lets tell bhai and then we can decide the day and practice accordingly,” said manik while standing and letting nandu change.
Today manik decided to return to Malhotra industries and restart his position as the CEO of the company from its head office so that he can make his father free from his responsibilities. He helped him run the business from india in the past as he didn’t want to shift to London but now he didn’t have anything or anyone in india worth leaving his family for.
Nandini was also starting her office after so many leaves due to the marriage so a lot of work was pending as all the three girls were on leave and twinkle was on her honeymoon so they had to do it together now.
She reached her office and after wishing everyone went directly to her room. Her secretary Nisha came and told her schedule and all the work that was left undone. After she went outside nandini immersed herself in work not noticing the time and it was already lunch time when suddenly there was a call she picked it up without seeing the caller Id.
“Did you had lunch, nandu?” manik asked.
“no, I forgot as there is a lot of work today.” Nandu replied sheepishly.
“okay! I am coming right now and we are going for lunch date.” Manik said and cut the call. Nandu didn’t understand what just happened but she came out of her trance with a knock on the door she saw Nisha was standing there.
“come in.”
“Ma’am, I know you said not to disturb you today but someone wants to meet you and she is waiting from morning to meet you I asked her many times to leave but she isn’t ready to leave.” Nisha asked which made nandu think who it can be so she asked her to bring the person in and when she saw who it was she became so angry that she had no words to express what she was feeling.
Manik was coming out of his building when he saw someone familiar sitting at the reception and he went towards them and when he was close enough he realized who it was and his blood boiled seeing the person in front of him.
