Arc 1
"How to do the Right Thing."

————————————————————————

Present Day:

Y/N sat upon her bed under The Last Drop, leaning against the wall that her bed was against. In her hands was a note book and pencil, marking the empty pages with lead.

'' Today marks the 5th year of my brothers and I living with Vander. I still remember when he knocked on the door of our old living space; the creaking of the door and the loud noise from the streets... even stealing from that drunken man.
For some reason, I feel bad for stealing from him... at least he had friends to help him try to get his lousy ten silver pieces back...
Claggor, Mylo, and I had to take shifts at the bar to pull our weight. I cook, Claggor is a waiter, and Mylo cleans. Honestly, I don't think I'm complaining all that much.
There are two sisters that live with Vander and us, they came one year prior to us: Vi and Powder; close-knit as ever. Despite being like a wanna-be family, there's something about Vi that- ''

"Hey, Y/N. How was your shift?" A familiar voice asked suddenly, drawing my attention from writing and to Vi who was leaning on the wooden door frame.
"Vi! Don't you know how to knock?!" I shrieked, slamming the notebook pages shut out of instinct. No one could know what I wrote in this, no one.
"Sorry, Sweet Cheeks; forgot you were so spooky." Vi replied, chuckling before she walked forward to sit next to me on my bed. I couldn't help but notice her gaze was flickering between me and the notebook.
Yeah, hello?? What do you want?

"... my shift was fine. Had to cook a three course meal for this one dude... talk about a hassle." I chuckled nervously, butterflies in my stomach. My fingers shuffled the page corners as a subconscious fidget. If anyone could make me so nervous, it was definitely this pink haired chick next to me.
"Oh, yeah? I bet I could do that in my sleep." Vi teased, yet again. Is she trying to make me confess? Stop blushing, Y/N! She stretched out her arms, mimicking how simple my job wasn't.
A laugh erupted from my throat, my hand covering my mouth.
"Pfft! My ass, especially when trying to cook for other people too!" I said through laughs, punching Vi in the shoulder lightly. She laughed too, gosh, I can't keep these butterflies subtle in my stomach for much longer.

Suddenly, Powder ran into the room at full speed; breaking the laughter between us both. You're my savior, Powder.
"Vi! Vi! Vi!" The blue haired girl yelled with a grin like the Cheshire Cat; before lunging herself at Vi with a hug.
"Woah, hey there, PowPow!" Vi responded with a smile, reciprocating the hug.
"You guys have to come check out my new gadget!" Powder said as she let go of the hug, looking at both Vi and I with puppy eyes.

"Ooh, you bet!" I replied with a wide smile, quickly shuffling my leather notebook under my pillow before standing up.
Powder couldn't stop bouncing up and down impatiently, grabbing Vi's hand and leading the way. The pink haired girl grabbed my hand, swiftly dragging me along too. I giggled slightly, today was turning out to be a good day.

As the little blue haired girl budged open the heavy wooden door to outback of  The Last Drop, she let go of Vi's hand. But, Vi didn't let go of mine. Did she mean to? Was she subconsciously holding on? But I couldn't care less why she was holding my hand... just- that she was holding it.

Powder set down a shark looking gadget the size of a food can, twisting the colorful top; making a clicking, whirring sound.
"Okay, stand back.." Powder informed as she stepped backwards towards Vi and I.
The shark gadget's top whirred around, clicking with every movement; until... pop!
The gadget bursted out green glittery dust with nails popping out to the ground.
