Riddhima Sharma had always been the one who worked hard and earned her spot at the top. She was confident, sharp, and had no patience for those who didn’t take things seriously. That’s why Aryan Rai Singhania, her classmate, always irritated her. He was the opposite of everything she believed in. While she buried herself in her books, he would casually chat, flirt, or even scroll through his phone.

One day, Riddhima Sharma and Aryan Rai Singhania were assigned to work together on a big project for college. Riddhima was excited and had been preparing for this project for weeks. She had done her research, gathered materials, and made a clear plan. But when they sat down to work, it was obvious Aryan wasn’t taking it seriously.

As Riddhima began to explain the project, Aryan slouched in his chair, looking at his phone. He was busy texting and hardly listened to her. It felt like the project didn’t matter to him at all.

“Are you even listening to me?” Riddhima asked, trying to keep her patience.

Aryan looked up for a moment, gave a lazy smile, and replied, “Yeah, yeah, I’m listening.” But then he went right back to his phone, typing even faster.

Riddhima clenched her fists. She had seen Aryan act like this before—carefree and uninterested in anything important. But today, she was determined to make him pay attention.

She took a deep breath and tried again. “Aryan, we need to finish this. The deadline is coming, and we can’t mess it up. I need you to focus.”

Instead of listening, Aryan laughed at something on his phone. “Relax, Riddhima. It’s just a project. You’re stressing too much,” he said, still not paying attention.

Riddhima’s frustration grew. She couldn’t understand how someone could be so careless. She had always taken her studies seriously, and it annoyed her that Aryan didn’t care at all.

“You’re impossible!” Riddhima snapped, her anger boiling over. “You never take anything seriously. Do you even care about this class, or are you just here to waste time?”

Finally, Aryan put his phone down, but not because he was interested in what she had to say. He just gave her a mocking grin. “I don’t see why you’re so worked up. It’s just a project. You’ll handle it like always, and I’ll just show up.” He waved his hand, acting like it didn’t matter.

Riddhima felt her face heat up with anger. “I’m not going to do everything on my own! If you’re going to treat this like a joke, I’ll find someone else to work with!”

She stood up, ready to leave, feeling frustrated and angry. Aryan, sensing her determination, smirked and called after her. “Where do you think you’re going? You can’t just walk away from this project!”

Riddhima turned around, her eyes blazing. “I can’t work with someone who doesn’t care! You’re just going to mess things up and make me look bad!”

“Make you look bad? Come on, Riddhima! You’re the one who’s taking this way too seriously. It’s just a project!” Aryan replied, rolling his eyes.

“Just a project? This is our grades we’re talking about! I actually care about my education, unlike you!” she shot back, her voice rising.

“Maybe if you lightened up a little, you’d enjoy life more! You act like you’re the only one who matters!” Aryan retorted, crossing his arms defiantly.

“Maybe if you learned to take things seriously, you’d actually succeed!” Riddhima snapped. “But I guess it’s easier for you to joke around than to put in any real effort!”
