Thank you 🩷✨

Two days had passed since that night—two days that felt like a lifetime and yet just a moment, all at once. The memory of our confessions and the way we surrendered to each other lingered like a sweet, intoxicating fragrance.

Every thought, every breath, seemed to be drawn back to him, to the way his touch set my skin aflame and how his words echoed in my heart, over and over.

I was sitting in my cabin, surrounded by documents and files, yet my mind was miles away. The sound of the office, the ticking of the clock, everything seemed distant, muted by the rush of emotions swirling inside me.

My eyes skimmed over the papers on my desk, but nothing registered. My thoughts were wholly consumed by Arjun—his smile, his touch, the way he looked at me as though I was the only thing that mattered in the world.

And then, as if my thoughts had summoned him, the door to my cabin clicked open, and there he was. Arjun. The very sight of him sent my heart into a frenzy, a wild thumping that I was sure he could hear from across the room. He stepped inside, closing the door behind him, and the air seemed to crackle with electricity.

“Morning, Miss Kapoor,” he said, his voice low and teasing, that familiar mischievous glint in his eyes.

I tried to steady my racing heart, tried to keep my voice calm as I replied, “Morning, Mr. Mehra.”

He walked toward me, every step slow and deliberate, as if savoring the moment. His presence filled the room, overshadowing everything else, leaving me breathless. When he reached my desk, he placed a file down, but instead of stepping back, he leaned in closer, his eyes never leaving mine.

“You seem a bit distracted,” he remarked, his voice soft yet laced with amusement. “Care to share what’s on your mind?”

I swallowed hard, my eyes dropping to the papers before me, but I could still feel the heat of his gaze. “Just… work,” I managed to say, though the tremor in my voice was unmistakable.

“Work?” he echoed, raising an eyebrow as though he didn’t believe me. “I’m not so sure about that.”

His tone was teasing, but there was something more in his eyes—an intensity that made my pulse quicken. I glanced up at him, and the way he looked at me, with that mix of amusement and desire, made my breath catch in my throat.

“Maybe… maybe I was thinking about you,” I confessed, my voice barely more than a whisper, but the way his eyes lit up told me he heard every word.
