Chapter Five
       "What do you think it's like for her,going into someone's subconscious?"asked Zero degree.He and Avis  stand out a room,watching Affliction and Cyrus in the medic room.Affliction seats on a chair,eyes closed and motionless.Cyrus lies on the bed unconscious.
       "Don't know,don't care."said Avis.
       "Why did you and I get paired for guard watch duty? You're no fun."
       "So that you and Behemoth,won't be screwing around while you're watching her.Now shut up and let me be."

       "I can't help you,I can't even help myself."
       "Cyrus I can help you to remember,if that's what you want?"
       "What I want to know is why Richard knocked me out and how I got here? Wait Richard is this one of your mental tricks,cause if it is I'm not buying it."
       "He's not here,he's the one who put you on that Island.He's the one who called the military to take you captive again."
       "What that's not true,Rick wouldn't do that we're friends."
       "Not anymore,you just can't remember it."
      Cyrus grabs her by the neck,squeeze tightly and lifts her up,"You're lying to me."
       "I swear I'm not,please believe me I just to help you."Affliction pleaded.
      Cyrus lets go of her,Affliction gasp for air.
       "Assuming I believe you,why would he put me there? Why don't I remember exactly and what is this place? Talk."
       "The two of you had a disagreement on how the problem between superhumans and humans should be handled.When you didn't agree with him,he erased your memory,scrambled your mind.And for the latter this your subconscious."
       "It's so dark and empty,why is that?"
       "That's what the humans did to you,they made you dark and empty."
       "Why?"
       "Cause they know you are our light,Cyrus you were meant to lead us into a new world.To bring us out of the darkness into your marvelous light."
          "I think you're mistaken me for someone else."
       "I can show you,who I know you to be.If you'll let me."She places her hands on his head,as she does that.Memories flood through his mind,forgotten memories.Memories of how he and Richard met,formed a team with other mutants.How he turned his back on them,when their way no longer seemed effective and fought injustice against superhumans in his own brutal way.How it lead to him clashing against his former allies."This is who I know you to be,a god."

      Cyrus wakes up from his unconsciousness,in a furious burst of speed.He flies out of the place,crashing through the roof.Zero degree and Avis enter."What the heck happened here?"asked Zero degree.Affliction gets up,"A god has risen from its slumber and the world will burn in his wrathful vengeance."
Zero degree and Avis look each other,then back at her.They both felt disturbed by her utterance.

      Cyrus flies above the city,staring at it with hatred.As hovers above the city,the people stare at him in awe,some bring out their phones and start live streaming him.Their very presence enrages him as his eyes lit up a bright burning golden yellow light and shoots forth a beam of light from his eyes,that destroys whatever he touches.Buildings,cars,street lamps and everything got destroyed by his death ray.Even killed some people in the process.
      The DSAR arrives,agent gather around,firing at Cyrus.Their bullets have no effect on him,but they don't seem to notice as they keep shooting at him.One agent with a bazooka,goes down on his knees and aims to fire at him.The agent doesn't get a chance to pull the trigger as Behemoth smacked him to the other side.
      An helicopter approaches Cyrus."Superhuman this is the DSAR.We order you to desist,refusal to do so will be met lethal action."said a DSAR agent in the helicopter,through the microphone speaker.
      Cyrus paid no attention to them,instead he flew towards them,grabbed the tail of the helicopter and toss it very far away.
       "Man,he's insane."said Oculus,gazing at Cyrus in awe in his display of power.
       "He's a god."said Affliction.
      Cyrus flew down to them,"What are you you waiting for,are you going to join or not? Let's show this humans who the real bosses are."He turned back and shot energy beam at everything in his path.
