When my group tumbled through the door we ended up with a face full of snow, As the "door" vanished behind us I found that Kira ended up face down in the snow as Sidra lay a few feet away from us and I realised Ember fell down in top of her. Pushing myself up leaning against a massive tree I took in are surroundings, there was snow everywhere.

"Get off me!" Ember leapt off Sidra, breathing heavily she stood and reached out to help her up. "Where are we exactly Kira?"

"How would I know?! This is the first thing that you ask me!? Wait a second...it's an alternate world!"

"You're insane. You know that?" Kira lifted her finger to point at something, following her hand I soon saw what it was she was looking at.

A large black bear...no. This animal had feathers and the body of a black bear, a long black ravens tail could be seen dragging in the snow as it turned towards the girls. Two big bright yellow eyes bore into us as its head tilted sideways, it had the head of a raven. Its big talons flexed as a low growl echoed through the silence, lashing its tail a deep voice made the creature turn its head in the direction of the sound. "Get over here Ravanger!"

Ravanger..? The creature, or rather Ravanger turned away from us and vanished into the dark winter woods. The sounds of laughter faded as did the sounds of the creature, what in the hell was that! "Guys, I don't want to do this anymore, who knows what else is out there!"

"We can't go back...remember what Red said? We can only go back when the trails are finished, and WE have no idea what it is or WHEN it is done." Sidra had a point about that, the only thing Red told us was we'd be sought out by a resident of this land once the trial was over.

"H-how long will t-this go on..?" Ember pulled her hood over her head and shivered, licking her lips she glanced at Kira and then at me. "G-guys i-it's f-freezing"

Kira pulled something folded out of the jacket pocket, unfolding it she pressed a dark brown finger against a spot on it and then tapped her chin. When she started folding it back up she glanced at each of us in turn and cleared her throat and spoke. "Come on, we need to move. The map says there is a clearing not far from where we currently are."

"What time is it?" Pulling the sleeve on my jacket up a little bit I watched as the seconds hand on my watch ticked by.

"It's seven forty five in the afternoon. That explains why it's getting darker by the minute." Sidra nodded and started to lead the way.

"Come on, we need to get a move on. Remember that this world isn't like ours, who knows what we're going to have to deal with in this reality." Ember, Kira and me jogged after Sidra.

We walked along a while trudging through the deep snow, I was reading what fruits grew in the area. I was eager to try a fruit the locals called a Fruta de tigre. Or in our language A Tiger Fruit. It was described as sweet and juicy with a little of bitterness, a slice of heaven in the mouth. And the book had a back chapter of some of the most common animals we'd encounter in this strange world.

The Ravanger,
This fascinating creature is the most loyal companion to the natives of this planet, in our world we compare them to our dogs. They'd do anything for us. How to obtain one is when a native child is of age they get an egg, the child cares for the egg and protects it with their life. Ravanger comes is many colours, they match mostly birds of prey, some are occasionally born the colour of other birds, such as Ducks, Swans, Chickadees, Red Cardinals, Ravens, much more!

Leroo
The Leroo is that of a Kangaroo and depending on the breed of Lerro determines their location, there are also rare Lerro's called Jackalopes, versions of  Leroo's that have deer antlers. The Jackalopes tend to have thicker neck fluff, thick bushy tails and sweet gentle personality. Don't fear them, they are the sweetest of the creatures on this planet.

Porkaquills
They are large boars that are the size of a baby elephant, extremely dangerous. Avoid the razor sharp blades that protrude from the mouth, extremely sharp needle like quills extend from the backs of these beasts. They are hostile and wont hesitate to kill, if you happen to encounter one of these beasts climb a sturdy tree or a boulder.

The Shade
A creature worst than death himself, a monster that feeds on the evil and nightmares of the living. Humanity is not something the Shade knows. Very much like a Dementor from Harry Potter it sucks the happiness out of its prey, this creature keeps the balance of life and death. The Shade is territorial, if you don't cross the line of its territory you will be okay.

Dragons
These mighty creatures are the primary protectors of the world, ruled by the people of this region. The dragons live along side the people and work as equals, these mighty creatures have the purest sense and ability to determine whether a creature is good or evil, worthy or not. Anger a dragon, and it may be the greatest mistake of your life.

Dire Wolf
A mighty beast of the winter land, the most hunted for its fur. This large wolf is hostile and will attack any other creature, some breeds are good for "pets" and so people of the land steal wild wolf pups and raise them as companions and they are very friendly and will do anything to protect their owners.

I decided to put the book away, my brain was starting to hurt with all the new worries and information that has just been stuffed into my brain. "So, did anyone else hear that voice?"

Stopping in their tracks they glanced at me like I was going crazy. "What voice?" They asked in unison.

"Please tell me I was not the only one who heard that sweet voice call that Ravanger?"

"The bear-raven like monster?" Holding out the book Sidra took it and glanced at the illustrations of the creatures. "How long have you had this Guide Kaya?"

"Uh...the whole time?" Sidra's face seemed to get rather darker as Ember spoke up.

"Guys, there's something wrong."

"What?" Kira moved over to Ember as Kaya and Sidra started arguing.

"GUYS!"

"WHAT!?"

Pointing in the distance we all noticed a glowing light in our line of sight, like a campfire or a lantern possibly! "It's another
GROUP!"

We all started to run, another group ment better chances to make it through this mess in one piece. The clearing was growing closer and closer until we noticed the group was made up of boys, laughing and eating full heartedly without a care in the world. "Have room for four more?"
