"Kaya? KAYA!" I didn't realise how far I had run, but one thing was for sure. I had clearly lost my team. That's when I started  panicking and just bolted. Not the wisest choice I've ever made, I had even left my belongings and on top of that I had no way of seeing where I was going. No light at all.

I was basically fumbling around like a blind woman, until something slammed into my leg sending a erupting wave of pain through my left leg, the rustle of brush told me whatever it was that had just attacked me was coming back for round two until something whizzed past my ear. A horrible child like scream echoed through the silence of night as I was knocked over, face full of snow. Suddenly the area around me got brighter as someone moved closer and closer to me, kneeling down in front of me a face I recognised could be seen.

"A-A-Ashton..?" A smile sprang to his lips as a large grin slapped his face, sitting up in the slow I noticed red painting the snow around me.

"Crap, you okay?" I suddenly felt like a boiling pot of water had been dumped on my leg as I tried to move my leg, turning my head my back arched a little bit as he knelt down to examine my wound. Looking back into my eyes he spoke gently. "May I?"

Nodding at him he set his bag down and dug something out, a small white box with a Red Cross on it. A first aid kit. Cutting the fabric around the wound he carefully took a clean cloth and rubbed my wound, no matter how gentle he was trying to be it stung like hell. Leaning my head towards the sky Ashton took something else out of the first aide kit, patting my thigh he spoke sorrowfully.

"I don't think you will like this but...you need to get this stitched up or risk infection." Ember's eyes grew wide as she looked at him, his face was taut and serious.

"O-okay, c-can you d-do it..?" He nodded and turned to look at her wound again, sweat beaded both of their faces as he pinched her wound together. "Ow!"

"Sorry, it's going to hurt more...sorry." Grabbing a stick she puts it in her mouth and bites down hard as he starts to stitch her wound up.

By the time he was done she had sweat dripping down her face and neck, her skin was freezing. Pulling a sleeping bag out he held it out to her, Ember's teeth chattered as he laid it down. "Take it, I'll be okay."

"T-T-thank y-you" Awkwardly slipping into the sleeping bag she still felt freezing, watching him stand and stretch. "J-join m-me...."

"Hu?" Ember regretted not thinking before she spoke, but the idea of him being by her side was a calming feeling that she wanted.

"W-we can s-share" Kneeling down to her level he smiled, his ash blond hair falling in his face.

"You a hundred percent sure?" I nodded, I AM sure. "Okay"

Unzipping the sleeping bag he was suddenly pressed up against me and I felt a hundred times warmer as his body heat and mine started to fuse together, once he had gotten it zipped back up he manoeuvred himself around until he was facing me. Suddenly the idea of having an almost adult man this CLOSE to my body was a little scary, he smiled as he closed his eyes to try and get some sleep. Closing my eyes I slowly started to get used to him and nuzzled into him, as if on cue his arms snaked around me holding me closer.

Ashton and Ember both shared the one semi long pillow their breath danced in the frosty air as sleep took them both, the little fire lit lantern still glowing softly. In a tree not too far away from them was a figure sitting in a tall Bayan tree, the native watched silently over them as they slept softly. A certain thought crossed the figures mind multiple times. Or were they talking to someone?

By mid morning a warm fire greeted Ember and Aston, surprised by the warmth AND the sudden appearance of it and not to mention the fresh salmon! At the sight of meat she didn't care where it came from or from who, her growling stomach got the better of her as she tenderly shook Ashton awake.

"Geez, good morning to you too sweetheart." His last word dripped with sarcasm as he sat up rubbing his face groggily, once his emerald green eyes landed on the food his eyes seemed to suddenly got bigger and brighter. "Oh, you didn't have to worry about food. But thank you."

"It wasn't me." Turning to face her his elegant ashy blonde eyebrow was raised in confusion, when his lips parted it wasn't his voice that was heard but someone who seemed to be all around us.

"It was me. Eat it before it gets cold, you're welcome." Both Ember and Ashton glanced around searching for the stranger who belonged to that strange voice, with no luck Ashton shrugged it off as Ember started to scribble something in her head.

She hadn't noticed that she had been staring out into the distance as the sun rose righter Ashton spoke with fish in his mouth. "Come try it, it's amazing!"

"Okay, okay. Save some for me then." Pulling the salmon apart with his fingers he left half on the large leaf next to him, licking his fingers he reached for the metal ladle sitting in the boiling pot of water. "Be careful."

"I'm always careful, don't worry." He winked and reached for the spoon, with a yelp of shock he stood abruptly and thrust his hand into a pile of snow. "Ouch...."

"I told you to be careful! Are you okay?" He nodded, after a few seconds of freezing snow he inspected his burned fingers and groaned.

"All good, should we get a move on?" Holding up his hand I squinted to make sure his hand or rather that his fingers were actually okay, and boy they were red. No doubt he was going to get blisters on his fingers, in all honesty I felt bad for him and at the same time I didn't feel bad for him at all.
