First day of school na naman and of course, hindi mawawala yang "introduce yourself". Mabuti nanga lang at walang mga pakulo itong teacher namin sa Earth and Life Science. Some teachers kasi like twists especially that this is one way of getting to know with the class.
"Hi my name is Willow Jolene Saldivar. I am 16 years old. I am from Isabella, Negros Occidental. I like to read during my leisure time and I am also fond of solving Mathematical problems."
Willow flashed her smile at the whole class and even waved her hand. Medyo nagkakahiyaan pa kami kanina. Halos lahat kami dito ay bago sa paaralang ito. Kakabukas nga lang nung SHS dito at tanging HUMSS palang yung nai-offer. Kaya bago yung mga pagmumukha namin sa isa't isa.
Willow is seated at the second row. Medyo matangkad naman siya, pero mas matangkad ako sa kanya. She's around 5'3 I think.
Nagkakilala kami actually after I took the SAT in this school. Sabay kaming kumuha and she approached me and honestly, nabigla ako sakanya. She started the conversation by asking me how was the test and then she asked me what's my name, what school was I from and so on.
Medyo naiilang kasi ako makipag socialize and mostly nagsasalita o kinakausap ko lang yung tao kapag sila yung uanang kumausap sakin.
She playfully winked at me so I just smiled at her. Not to be rude or anything but she's giving this "feeling close" kind of personality which is not that bad after all. She seems friendly. After we talked the day we took the SAT, nag send agad siya ng friend request na inaccept ko naman.
Galing siya sa probinsya na medyo kalayuan dito. Mukha rin siya yung tipong sineseryoso yung acads.
"Miss Saldivar, saan ka ba nag s-stay? Masyadong malayo yung Isabella dito. Why did you choose ISES? I'm sure maraming mga magagandang schools din doon sa inyo?" Our teacher in Earth and Life Science asked her.
"Well, my Lola's house is near here. And I wanna prove to my parents na kaya ko po yung sarili ko. I mean na malayo sa kanila, may konting adjustments po kasi syempre first time ko pong malayo sakanila." Willow answered.
"Wow, strong independent woman ka niyan?" One of our classmate suddenly interrupted and I heard light giggles.
She has a skin white as a snow, mas matangkad siya kay Willow pero mas matangkad parin ako and based on my judgement, madaldal din ito.
"Tawagin kitang 'Dorothea'. Ate single po ba kayo?" The girl asked and the whole classroom was filled with their laughs. Naki tawa na din ako para makisabay.
"Sorry miss, mahaba pila sakin eh. Dun ka muna sa likod." Willow answered.
"Since, tapos kana magpakilala Miss Saldivar, you may now take your seat. Miss beautiful, ikaw naman ang magpakilala sa klase." Ma'am Gamuza pionted the girl na dumadaldal while Willow was introducing herself.
The girl went to the front and introduced herself with her gummy smile plastered on her face. "Inessa Xela Gatuteo". That's her name.
"I chose HUMSS because I want to become a lawyer. I want to help and defend powerless people who are manipulated by people with power. Ever since I was a child, yan na yung pangarap ko. Maglingkod para sa bayan."
We all clapped our hands. "Whoa, Iness Gatuteo for Mayor!" Willow jokingly said. Nakipag High-five naman sa kaniya si Iness while she's walking back to her seat.
Kanina lang ay nasa likod nakaupo si Iness pero lumipat siya sa tabi ni Willow. I guess ganon talaga kapag mga extrovert.
"Wow class, I like the energy ha. Mga Humanista nga talaga kayo. Dapat wala nang hiya-hiyaan. If meron man dito sa inyo, ay matatanggal yan dito sa strand na ito. Marunong dapat kayong makibagay, makihalubilo, at makipagusap. Masanay na kayong magsalita dahil ang hindi marunong magbuka ng bibig dito ay hindi makakapasa." Ma'am Gamuza said.
